So finally we have some new HMs that may actually be interesting and usable!

Cut is the only one that surely needs a Key Item in future games, it's a hideous move in all aspects

So the Leaders might be like this then:

Ground
Bug or Grass
Flying
Psychic or Ghost
Water
Fighting or Fire
Ice or Dark
Still thinking it won't be a set type... lol

So a foggy and mountainous region... this is sounding better all the time ^-^

HM05 - Fog Clear (clears deep fogs)
HM06 - Rocksmash
HM07 - Waterfall
HM08 - Rock Climb (climbs huge steps)

Fog Clear could end all weather effects, or remove the reduced accuracy effect from you..

Fog clear will obviously be something that gets rid of like smokescreen in battle.

Those gyms leaders look hell scary!

Fog Clear and Rock Climb! I just did that for PE not long ago! FC sounds like an Ice attack that may remove any Lightscreen, Reflect etc away for a certain number of turns (maybe 5).
And what happened to the New (Unknown) Attack Theory thread? It appears to have been deleted...
