I would say if Jiraiya lives he would be crippled, one armed, and unable to speak or breathe on his own. But then again IF he lives im sure Tsunade will pull out some crazy completely ridiculous medic ninjutsu as with Rock Lee and everything will be fine and dandy.

Jiraya did a crazy glittering finger jutsu on Pa's back which is most likely a message to Tsunade and/or Naruto. perhaps we'll know who Pain is after they read it.
