    My parents are fine with it. They're just glad that I'm actually reading a book.

    My mom. She hates it with all her will. She thinks it's porn central and every time I even dare to mention it she groans/makes nasty faces. It's just so unfair. I can't go with my mom to buy manga... because I either end up really p*ssed/crying, or she ends up really annoyed making nasty comments about the store or the manga itself.
    Your dad is awesome....your mom isn't.

    Mine are extremely indifferent about it. They're almost oblivious.

    Oblivious? Be glad of that.

    If mine ever did some research on 'yaoi' and 'hentai,' I wouldn't be alive today.

    At least when it comes to manga/anime/Jap music, I agree. But then again, she's probably trying to protect me... after all, I'm just 14. ^^;

    My dad knows about hentai... as stated above, however, knowing that my mom's a homophobic... she'd probably be scared if she knew what shonen-ai is, and that's when I wouldn't be exactly alive. DX

    I don't have any manga yet, but if I bought any, my parents probably won't mind. They usually approve of anything, as long as it's not video games.

    My dad doesn't even know what Manga is and my mom doesn't care what I buy as long as it isn't any form of porn. I mean seriously, ANYTHING.

    My parents don't care about it, becasue they don't know about it. I read my massive quantities of manga on my computer that I've downloaded, or are viewed online, so I don't actually have any beyond the 336 chapters of Naruto and the 150+ chapters of Rave Master hidden on my hardrive. I don't take chances with it. They can't forbid me from reading it as long as they don't know I read it.

    My parents are cool... they buy me manga for gifts (They got me Naruto Vol 11 and 12, Negima Vol 7 and Tokyo Mew Mew Vol 5 for Christmas)... that or it's free from my mom's job... she works for Viz... I attually heard that she reads Manga when she's not busy... which is cool when it dosn't kind of creep me out (she also wathces fanfsubs which creeps me out even more)... my dad's cool too, he tried to get into Ranma back in '95 or '96 (which is extreamly creepy if you think about it... my dad trying to get me into that when I was 10). So I'm lucky I don't have the uptight parntes

    My parents let me buy manga, as long as I like it (yay). Actually, sometimes whenever I watch some anime, my mom comments on the openings and says "the Japanese really make good music".

    No offense to any other person's parents, but... if a parent thinks manga is made up with porn, violence, and whatnot - they're thinking like an ignoramus.

    My parents don't really care about it, but sometimes my mom reads manga like Ranma 1/2 if she needs to kill time. But; If I read manga, my dad allways asks: ''Is that drawn in anime style?'' Then, when I watch anime, he says: ''That manga show looks exiting!'' -_-;

    My parents think buying manga is a waste of money. I do buy it secretly every now and then though. And I also try to read the mangas that got unwrapped somehow in the bookstore itself (While trying not to get caught)

    My parents... My dad thought FMA was a silly comic... Obviously he never read Spiderman before, then I made him read it. He saw the light.
    My mom though... She's pretty okay with it, even though she insists I shouldn't waste my limited pocket money on books. She says she would buy most of them for me, but manga just feel nicer when you collect them yourselves.

    Read my friend's fanfiction, Felix the Mutant Pikachu, although I personally dislike them more than a little.
    On a side note:

    My parents don't really care about it that much at all. My mom will usually buy me manga if were at Books-A-Million or something if I don't have any money. Of course, if she knew what 'yaoi' or 'shounen-ai' was, she'd probably kill me. >.>;;; My dad doesn't know any difference, but he likes the art of it.

    My parents dislike it, only because they have to pay for it. It's their fault for not giving me money D8<.

    My mom thinks manga is a waste of money. She says she'd rather have me get something more "informative." I guess that's what I get for having a teacher as a mom. :/ My dad doesn't care either really, because he really doesn't pay attention to what I read these days. So, if I ever need some money for it, I bug him. ;D

    My Mum doesn't mind me reading manga, and she buys it for me (the shop assistant was apparently like 'WOAH' when my mum asked to see the manga section in the book store to get me my christmas present) however, she is annoyed that I order my manga online and don't go to stores (my local manga stores no stock the volumes I need)

    My step dad, doesn't mind at all, and shown no opinion on it
