I largely base it on the pokemon's size/figure and what their bio says. Matt's bio said he was extremely violent and would oblitherate whoever got in his way, so I made him very strong (though Lucario's actually managed to take him out a couple times, and Bulan's proved capable of taking him on). Iridus's bio said she was on the weaker side, but could be cut with no knife, so I made her very sturdy, but weak physically. While shuckle has super defenses, it isn't that tough-looking, so when the plot demanded it, I had no problem allowing raikou to slaughter it with electricity. Characters like Groudon and Staro however relied on the irony of their type immunity to electricity combined with their fear of it, so in that case, I kept the game mechanic in. Pretty much, effectiveness in the game doesn't matter unless the submitter specifies it, it pretty much goes with common sense, or if it would just plain be funny.

There goes my big ol' mouth again. Grass, while you make a point, you have to cast a different vote, because Kala already lost.

Stretching out the word irony, a bit (Another pet peeve of mine)

Out of boredom, I decided to check something out. I killed off 43 pokemon as LoF in TLC's and Reffings. Thats not that bad...

This isnt like PDI where you pretty much have to read the past stuff, but me or octo might throw in a few references in that you might not get if you dont know past characters.(I doubt most people actually get them, though)
