    Default Evolving Vulpix in Emerald

Hello. This is my first thread on the boards. =D

y firend had lent me his Emerald version to train and evolve his pokemon. He has a a level 29 Vulpix and a was wondering what level is it best to use a fire stone on her. Also what moves should she know?

Vulpix learns Fire Spin at lv. 41 in case you want it to learn that.

I'd let it learn flamethrower, then evolve it

I know Ninetails learns it at level 45. But does it have any attacks worth knowing at level 29 or should I jsut go ahead and evolve it?

Just so everyone knows heres it's current move list:

    Will-o-wisp
    Confuse ray
    Imprision
    Flamethrower

I heard the best time to evolve a Pokemon with a stone is at level 45 which I find true.

I say wait if you want ot EV train it. I've found that pokes that evolve with stones slow down EXP. points and it's harder to level them up.

You don't need Fire Spin, evolving it after Flamethrower is good enough, unless you want Grudge at Lv.37

Personally, If you like its moveset, then go ahead and evolve it. Me? I wait until Vulpix learns Flamethrower.

Yeah, so would I. But it wasn't agood decision to evolve it yet. You should have EV trained it first.

I, personally, wait till I get to the final Lv.-up move I want to teach it, then I evolve it. For reference, here's Vulpix's remaining Emerald Lv.-up moves:
    29: Flamehtrower
    33: Safeguard
    37: Grudge
    41: Fire Spin

I'd evolve it after Flamethrower just because Fire Spin only has a strength of 15, accuracy of 70, and its effect is weak.
