Well, let's just say that his bankai is a hollow, then whenever he trains with it, wouldn't it be influencing him? Plus, a zanpakto is part of a shinigami's soul. But this is pure speculation by my part.

I'm merely stating that renji's bankai is very similar to a hollow, and I know what his bankai's name means and that. I'm just saying that the energy blasts it shoots look pretty much like cero's while tobiumes are more like fireballs and benehime is like, lazor beams. His bankai in general looks like some sort of wild hollow, that's all I'm saying. But this is all speculation.

And I swear to Aizen, that Komamura better have some new techniques with his bankai like flash step bankai or even better, have his bankai be able to mirror kido spells. Could you imagine what a shakkaho would look like at that size?

I don't think his bankai will have any other abilities; it seems to be a melee style weapon after all. But I do think Komamura will have to use his head during his fight with Bambietta. She seems like the kind of opponent who would have an easy time dodging physical attacks. Only a well thought out strategy will catch her off-guard imo.

Honestly who cares if he's popular or not? I think Komamura along with Ukitake and Unohana all deserve a win during this arc.. Kubo made it seem like Komamura was weaker than the other captains in the Arrancar Arc I think it's about time he redeems himself.

I really hope Bambietta is powerful and vicious; I don't want another Riruka-esque character who only has cute abilities. She better give Komamura a thrashing.

I think he'll win even if another captain has to come to his aid to help him do so. The only way I can see Komamura dying is him sacrificing himself for Yamamoto due to how loyal he is towards him.

Speaking of Hisagi, he's the only one with no bankai who got paired with a Stern Ritter, the other being Captains and Renji. I wonder if Kubo plans to give him a bankai this arc. A giant spinning sickle flying on its own slaughtering SR left and right would be a rather beautiful scene.

You know what's scarier then being about to be punched by a nine foot wolf? Getting punched by a nine foot wolf and a skyscraper sized samurai demon avatar. And you know what's scarier than those two things? Seeing a skyscraper tall samurai demon avatar about to punch you along with an insane man encased in a glowing gold skull about to slash you. If kenpachi and Komamura team up, then Bambietta will be screwed no matter what. End of discussion.

I was a big fan of the character before his fight against Tousen. Komamura's speech really pissed me off. But I still like him a bit for being a unique character. By the way, I read the last chapters. Wow, Rose looks and sounds awesome, way more badass than when he was fighting at Fake Karakura. His Zanpakutou, Kinshara, is so cool! I am dying to see his Bankai. I was hoping for a Bankai for Kira too, since Wabisuke is one of the my favorite Zanpakutou, but guess it won't happen. Let's hope Hisagi show us that Tousen taught him well and release a Bankai as cool as his Shikai. And I think Komamura will die, too.

I have it in my head that the ice type zanpakutos are rare, but I could have made that up. Maybe that's why they're powerful is because there aren't as many? But I agree it's unfair that they have more abilities

Meh, IMO Hyourinmaru's power is only creating and controlling ice. The tons of technique names he has is just for... fancy. All they do is freeze the enemy anyway. It's only different in the way they get executed, and their shape. Which is why Hyourinmaru is deemed as the most powerful ice zanpakto. Unlike Hitsugaya, Rukia cannot freely create ice, only within a certain area (circle on the ground, in front of her after she stabs the ground, etc) which is why it's... less powerful. I mean, Hitsugaya can pretty much do an attack similar to Tsukishiro or Hakuren.

So now they know it's not a seal. It's a steal. Seeing Kirge's ability, the SR might just be able to reuse the stolen ability to themselves.

Rose wasn't shown in there, though. I have a feeling Kubo will show his bankai once they realize how to get the bankai back, since showing a new bankai getting stolen would be stupid. Plus he wasn't shown with a partner... like the other Captains. But that could be because Kira is not there?

Aww, As Nodt smiled. I thought he's another stoic character who doesn't show his emotions. How cute.

Overall, an interesting chapter, but not really fast since what, 2 - 3 pages are about the Captains releasing bankai. I think the pace will pick up next chapter though.
