Personally, I don't think killing Toshiro would have quite the same effect since one could argue he's the rookie Captain, the last addition, still a young man... on the other hand, Byakuya is a grown man, a veteran, a seasoned and experienced Captain with some decades ahead of Toshiro. It would be harder for the Quincies to kill him, theoretically.

If that were the case instead, then the predictions about 2012 would be right all along. People all over Japan would be rioting over Hitsugaya's death, and because of the rioting, nothing there would get done, which would lead to everyone else being screwed in the end.

Okay, so maybe that's too out there, but at the very least, Kubo would probably become homeless if he killed off Hitsugaya with no way to revive him.

I have a feeling that Kenpachi is about to get his teeth kicked in. Then again, he's only lost once so maybe not. They'll be shocked about him not using Bankai and then either retreat or beat him within an inch of his life. I'm just throwing stuff out there.

I'd certainly love to see him getting his ass kicked, but after what Kubo said about his role in the novel...

If Kubo is going on a Captain killing spree, my hunch is that Kenpachi won't last a few pages in the next chapter.

What with the fact that he's actually facing the leader of the Vandenreich who blasts Arrancar with a flick of his hand.

Should be the prefect setup to lure the Royal Guards out, if most of the Captains die. Or at least heavily injured. I'm just worried how that will lead to Unohana fighting because more casualties would mean more work for her =|

I noticed that the largest guy on kenpachi's back has sort of beast like arms. I wonder...... is there any connection to Komamura here? I mean, beast like arms, size, it could be possible......

And yeah, I remember hearing a story about an author who's series was coming to an end, so he killed off the main character. One night when he was driving on the road his car ran out of gas. Another car came along and the woman inside offered to drive him to her house which was nearby to get some gas. However, when the author wasn't looking, the person knocked him out and tied him up at the house, threatening to torture him unless he wrote another book where the main character comes back to life.

With the amount of fans that Toshiro has, I doubt that Kubo would actually kill him off, unless we want another case like this. Heck, with the reaction that Byakuya got, what do you guys think that the reaction would be if he killed off Toshiro instead?
Lol wan't that a family guy episode? I thought that was based off of a book not real life.

The Family Guy episode was a parody of the Stephen King book Misery.

Basically, the novel says Kenpachi is uber obscenely powerful and merely "downgrades" his power level to that of his opponent so he can enjoy the fight (and even that the reason Aizen kidnapped Orihime was all part of a plan to get rid of Kenpachi because he's too much of a threat). And then Kubo basically said that's correct.

I still shudder whenever I think about those novels. The fact that Kubo went along with them is the most disturbing part; now I fully expect Kenpachi to be the one who kills the Vandenreich emperor dude and maybe even a few of the Stern Ritters. So much for Ichigo and the Royal Guard coming to the rescue. :x

That seems about right. Kenpachi would be the one to use less power to enjoy a fight. I'm actually looking forward to Bleach this week. Will Kenpachi be killed? Or will he destroy the Quincy?

I believe that Kenpachi did to go down as he is simply too powerful to be keep alive if I were a villain. In fact, I would like to see Kenpachi go as oppose to Byakuya.

Well the holding back was shown all the way back when he fought Ichigo, but I'm surprised to hear about Aizen also fearing Kenpachi. That seems a little random.

    No Bleach this week sadly.

Guess its a 2 week break for Kubo-sensei. Hope 501 gets a color page because of the break and a few extra pages.

Darn it Kubo, you've made it so suspenseful and you take a break! At least take the break when we aren't in a suspenseful spot!

Normally I take Kubo's trolling with ease, but..... erk! There's too much going on to take a break Kubo!

Ugh.. of course when things get interesting. But when the chapter comes out I really hope we get to see Hitsugaya, Soi Fon, and Komamura fight I want to see how they're faring against their opponents even though they probably aren't doing any better than Byakuya.

OF course...we get a two week break when we're dying in suspense. There are so many things I want to know

I want to know if Kenpachi is going to kick *** in the next chapter or get his *** kicked? I hope its the latter (Although Kenpachi is one of my favorite character). I want to see him look vulnerable and then turn around get sweet revenge at a later date.

I want true confirmation that Byakuya is dead. He looks dead but I want to see some type of flashback or memorial service. I'm still in shock Kubo did that to him. He was another of my favorite characters.

I want to see the other characters vs their opponents. I have a feeling we are in for some real nasty surprises.

I want to know how Kenpachi's fight is going to go too.. I don't think he's going to win though Kubo is going to try to hype up the Final Villain and his second in command as much as he can until Ichigo gets his power up to fight them. I do wonder what As Nodt and his Luchador partner are going to do now.. are they going to stay in their current location or are they going off somewhere else to cause havoc if they do I hope Unohana stops them.

It's normal for mangaka to take a week off every now and then, but a two week break right out of the blue? That's a little strange. I hope Kubo comes back strong, hopefully by revealing the identity of the person who killed Kirge in Hueco Mundo.
