So, Buckbeard has witnessed his Bankai before...but he didn't expect it to be used differently than his previous encounter. That's some OP stuff right there as expected of the most powerful Zanpakuto. Bleach has been more interesting than ever these last few chapters.

Cool to see that Yamamoto's bankai really is all his power suppressed into the blade, and to learn that Bach did face it a thousand years ago, though it appears that Yamamoto has developed it further then it was back then. His "east' and "west" abilities make him even more of a boss then before, which is really saying something. I really can't see how Yamamoto is gonna end up losing in the end, but I guess Bach hasn't gotten serious yet either. It was also interesting to see the effect his bankai had on the surrounding world, and the three elder captains and Hitsugaya recognizing it. Shame Unohana isn't on the battlefield fighting someone. Great chapter.

I wasn't too impressed with Yama's bankai; it's essentially his shikai but in a condensed state. I also think that Juha Bach will win the battle since he's already fought against Yamamoto once and probably knows more about Yamamoto's weakness than anyone else.

Well, that's what all Bankais are, basically. Just a more powerful version of the Shikai, as Bach pointed out.

What he said doesn't make much sense, though. He said that a zanpakuto's shikai and bankai have similar powers, yet Sui-Feng's shikai used venom while her bankai was just a giant bazooka. The two abilities aren't really related, so what he said isn't exactly true.
