Hmm, this week's chapter could've done without Mayuri's constant ranting, though Pernida being the Soul King's left arm surprised me.
Any speculation as to why the soul king's left arm is Pernida? I'm guessing it probably resided within it and took control once it died out? Kind of similar to Ukitaki. Hopefully Kubo elaborates more on this. This is starting to get good.
Kubo wants Pernida to win, plus Mayuri was sweating on the last page of the chapter today I don't think he's going to win this one. Pernida hasn't used its holy form yet either.
This is getting interesting. Also am I the only one that loved Mayuri using his detachable arm again? xD him using hirenkyaku was priceless as well. .. Although Pernida's attack being useless because "there was no nerves" doesn't make sense, since it was proven useful when bending Hikifune's Tree of Life, Which was kind of nerve-less.
Kubo's comment makes me think Pernida may win though.
Shades of Aizen in Mayuri during this fight.
That last page of the chapter settles it Mayuri isn't winning this fight, just look at Nemu's face.
Ugh the birth giving.. Freaked me out.
On the other hand, today a while back, 9gag posted something about Naruto Openings being sung by a guy, and then I found out he did a Bleach one too.
Goosebump and the nostalgia. I actually can visualize the openings, and which episode they started off with.

Never thought a hand could have so much sass, also the color page with the Stern Ritter was nice.
Ironic, given how often they get lopped off in this series.
The Sternritter page was cool, but i still hate how the Quincies don't really seem like Quincies because of all the crazy powers they have over their bow and arrows.
"I like drawing wrists." Kubo's wrists are anatomically wrong and especially creepy.
The fight itself is really dragging on, but I found the interaction between Mayuri and Nemu to be interesting.
Elsewhere I saw a theory I liked, I don't know if you guys discussed it here yet: Mayuri called Nemu "Nemuri Nanagō" (the seventh Nemuri), indicating she is not his first experience, and he seems very adamant in stopping her from growing, of even doing anything without his permission. That brings us to Shutara, whom Mayuri seems to resent and does have some physical resemblance to Nemu. Perhaps she was his first experience? And she "outgrew" her creator, became "superior" to Mayuri — that would be the reason why he doesn't like her and is so controlling of Nemu: he doesn't want another Shutara situation in his hands, he doesn't want Nemu to surpass him. If she is actually the seventh experience, he might as well have discarded/killed all the previous ones when they started to act outside of his orders and were close to surpass him. (Or he might have simply have modeled Nemu after Shutara, but I like the other idea better.)
