in my opinon the episode was ok and just a filler. was electrike/manetric using thunder wave it just seems that all the electrike so far have all been using thunder wave as a offensive move like wattson's

No it wasn't. It was already stated which attacks they were.

This IS the Diamond and Pearl series isn't it?
Why couldn't they show a new electric Pokémon like... Rotom or something?!
Mabye they plan on taking their time with this series.

It was one of the worsts D/P episodes.

Ash and co. took a rest in the Pkmn Center. They met a sexy guy who had troubles with his Electrike. Ash and co. was ready to help poor Electrike with shooting Thunders to the target. Pachirisu and Pikachu did it well and Electrike adored them (as always Pikachu was in the center of attention). Brock gave the trainer few advices how to care about Electrike. Jessie wanted to steal Electrike and Pikachu. She was beat by Electrike`s Thunder (horray, it worked), Electrike evolved. The happy trainer was grateful for help. The end.

I have seen similar plot bilion times. They should have done the episode about Luxio. I dont get it, why they put the old gen pokemon to the episode.

I see only one positive part of this epi: James and Meowth helped Electrike. James is a good guy.

The spoiler was really hopeful so I believed it would be about PkmnBattleCenter for electric type pokemon.

This episode was good. There wasn't much to say about this filler episode. It was kinda funny when Ash and James ran around with targets on the back of their jackets. It was also cool to see a Manectric again (I always thought he was one of the cooler electric types).

Well I guess I better write up a summary.


Ash and co. are resting at a nearby lake, when a gigantic column of lightning almost hits them. They then see an Electrike charging at them. They freak out, and Ash then get zapped. The Electrike's trainer, a breeder by the way, comes up and apologizes. After introductions, the breeder (Joco, I think it was?) remarks that flying types are way better then electric types. Electrike gets sad. Joco's teacher comes. Anyway, the gang's invited to see the...the...Electric...Electric Breeding place. Basically, it seems Electric pokemon are trained here to gain control of their attacks, before being shipped off to power a power plant. Joco's teacher comes with an Electrike, and shows what true control is. There are 3 targets. The teachers Electrike uses Charge, then thunder, and the Electrike controls the thunder to go left, up, and down before hitting the target. Joco's Electrike tries, and zaps Ash. Joco remarks that his Electrikes a failure. Brock checks it, and says it's perfectly fine. Team Rocket's watching. Jessie wants to steal the Electrike. James and Meowth say

"That Electrike's got issues!"

Jessie wants to wait, seeing as how the twerps will train it well. Joco tries to brush Electrike....with a METAL brush....ZAP. Brock does some quick teaching to him, Faith and all that. Joco's Electrike practices again , and zaps Ash. Joco wonders what went wrong. Brock says timing and asks if Ash and Dawn would demonstrate. Pikachu succeeds, but Pachirisu zaps Ash. Pachirisu gets a poffin, and succeeds. Brock says that he thinks Electrike is stronger then a normal Electrike, so it has problems controlling it's power. It's night. Brock is making pokemon food. Joco comes in and remarks how much food he's making. Brock says that with a lot of pokemon, there needs to be a lot of food. Oitside, Pikachu is teaching Electrike. Pikachu thunderbolts a dead tree. Electrike tries, and misses (barely). Electrike get sad. Pikachu does a pep talk, and blasts another tree. James and Meowth are watching. They remark how much of a team the twerps are. Jessie gets impatient and says to steal it now. Motto!

Listen is that the voice of twerpy gloom?

James and Meowth restrain Jessie from stealing Electrike. She runs away. Ash thinks he dreaming. Electrike pratices, and manages to hit the traget. Ash, James, and Meowth become moving targets. Their wearing insulated jackets. Ash isn't happy, the rockets say their used to it. They eventually rush into a forest.

Jessie comes to steal Electrike in the Potent Pink Princess Power 1. It snatched Electrike. Pikachu tries to zap it, but it's insulated. Electrike evolves! Jessie runs away with Pikachu. James and Meowth jump onto the robots. Meowth slice a hole into the metal robots, and reveals a spinning gear, that is somehow an insulator. Electrike fires a Thunder. Jessie runs all over the place, but the Thunder moves to hit it. Magnetric has mastered Electric control! Magnetric leaves to go to the Power Plant.

One of the not so good D/P eps IMO. I had ome funny scenes but the plot was a bit over-done. All what Brock said was pretty much basic facts which the other guy should know. Instead they built a plot around it. The part with James helping out was good, showing once again that he is a nice guy in heart.

6/10 points.

It wasn't a bad episode, it was just more about the humor than most pokemon episodes. And it was nice to see James and Meowth help out (it reminds me of that old Paras episode), and Ash's reaction to Jesse and James were priceless

I liked the fact that the character-of-the-day wasn't just another random person having trouble with a Pokemon, he actually had a reason for his problems. He was a Flying-specialist breeder who had to deal with an Electric-type for the first time.

Manetric's voice sounded a little like Miss Piggy. I'd never thought I'd her both Pokémon and Muppet's together ever.

Cal is pretty much James and Oak all rolled into one. It's kind of interesting that they decided on using another character name from the G/S/C days.

After seeing the ep 2 times I have to raise my point to 7/10 p. Ash outbursts was great (someone is out to get me, what is it with me and thundershocks etc.) but still, I think it/the ep had some flaws overall that are unusual for D/P. And I do wonder why they had the plot be about a Hoen Pokemon and not a Sinnoh Pokemon. "Pachu" was unbelivable cute. Remember that it is (for me) a weak D/P ep, which means it is still a great ep, but not up to the usual D/P ep standard.

Actually, I thought Manectric sounded like Kermit the Frog.
