I am inclined to disagree - taking the following line:

Again, I am unsure if a comma works better than that - if not, the sentence (which is already long) is just going to be filled with the same kind of pause created by commas, which seems to make it a run-on sentence. Down to opinion, I suppose, but a hyphen feels better there, IMO, and probably the best option as well.
There are some other instances probably down to debate, but there is a bit too much of it, I feel as well, and times where other options work better. Also:
IMO, full stop should remain, as I read it as two sentences just fine - if anything, merging the two with the comma makes it sound uncomfortable. But feel free to disagree, I suppose.
