I've been reading you're fic for a while but I finally got around to posting on it! Yeah, I guess, well might as well review the chapter while I'm at it! Sorry that my reviews aren’t skyscrapers,
I do that too sometimes...“I think you should go,” she hissed, hoping her stare alone would be enough to make him vanish on the spot.
Good moarals or something I guess?Carrie raised an eyebrow. “Is there really any point telling Armaldo?”
Theo gave her a stony look. “He deserves to know just as much as the others.”
There was a sharp intake of breath from Velotus as a painfully familiar needle glinted in Andrew’s hand. The man’s grin reached manic levels as he looked up, saw Ivyx just above him – and stabbed the syringe into her.
The female Grovyle screeched in panic. Carrie watched in horror as the plunger descended; part of her numbly thought about reaching for her Poké Ball and recalling her, but would she be quick enough? What about Theo’s Everstone? How on earth was Velotus going to react?
She caught sight of the gleeful amusement in Andrew’s eyes as he pulled out the syringe and silently wished a horribly painful death upon him for taking such delight in doing this to her.
Ivyx clung tightly to her branch, shuddering uncontrollably, as Foliano appeared next to her with plain, helpless fear all over his face. Every part of Carrie’s mind was screaming at her not to watch her Grovyle’s evolution, but she couldn’t tear her eyes away out of some morbid fascination with seeing Ivyx burst into blinding white light.
Except she didn’t.
Okay that kind of ticked me off.
That's all it took?“It belonged to someone else who wanted to capture Archopy. We stole it so that they couldn’t, not because we wanted to catch her too.”
Andrew was grinning again. “That could have been made up on the spot. Trust me, I’ve got a lot of experience in that field. I’m going to need a name if you want me to believe you. Otherwise…” He glanced at Arcanine, who was still growling softly.
Carrie let out a huff of frustration; she really didn’t like telling him this much. “Her name was Vanessa… something. I think her surname began with an S.” She glared at him. “Happy now?”
“Vanessa S,” Andrew muttered to himself, patting Arcanine twice. The dog Pokémon crouched down, letting his trainer climb onto his back and grab hold of his creamy fur. “Yeah, that’ll do.” He gave Carrie and Theo one final grin. “If you’re lying, though, expect to see me again.”
With that, he leaned forward on his Pokémon’s back, and Arcanine took off, racing away through the trees.
Well I can say that even after all of Velotus's episodes I really didn't see that one coming.Theo looked about to answer, but he was cut off as a Grovyle shot past him, landing on the ground in front of Carrie.
Foliano looked up at his trainer with worry in his eyes. “We thought I’d better tell you – Velotus is gone.”
I love cliff hangers, though it does meant that you have to have some kind of good come back for the reason why that happened since the good old, "He just needs to walk it off isn't going to work this time."
Well this is one awesome fic! It's pretty amazing how long it's lasted! Keep up the good work!
