I don't see age as a barrier, you either like or dislike pokemon out of choice. I've chosen to be a Pokemon fan for as long as my interest or "spark" for it holds, which I feel like it's gonna be for a long time. I frankly don't give a hoot of what society thinks of it, they're trying to take away our individuality through social engineering (basically turning us into lemmings, always follow the leader instead of relying on our instincts).

Its funny how many social outcasts I can find in this forum.
Sticking with my answer of age 25.
My opinion? I already know that once I'm in my 20s, I'm too old for a kids game. I don't feel like being treated as a loser, Its only a game. Its not your life.

I'm almost 15 right now and I can say that although my interest has waned from about 6 years ago where I played it almost exclusively on my GameBoy Color, but I can still get into a new Pokemon game, and I still play the GBC games. Not so much for Adv. Generation.

Age insn't important, but when im 16-17, then i'll stop. I really need to start spending money on more important items, like clothes, and shoes and Xbox360...

I still play Pokemon but I stopped collecting the cards. I dunno I have like 4,000 cards haha! Actually I didn't really stop collecting, it's just that I can find a better way to spend my money. I have to admit though that I love playing the TCG Game with my friends (I'm 16 on Sunday if you were wondering)

Obviously, there's some 30+ year olds that are still playing it... Though I heard someone mentioned he battled a 60-year old grandma or something at a JAA event.

Nobody is too old for anything. Its like a 16 year old dating a 18 or 20 year old, Love is for everyone. So Pokemon can be for anyone.

No, no... you can be too old for some things.

I'll just leave it to your imagination to decide what things become taboo with age.

But besides that, you're right, Pokemon is ageless.

Oh, if you don't wanna read the paragraph below, here's the summary: Pokemon is for Everyone

Pokemon's a game that's for anyone; kids, teens, adults, grandparents, etc. So there isn't any limit. The only thing that sets the "limit" are outside influences, and these influences shouldn't overshadow your thoughts. Pokemon can last shortly in your life or longly; it's your choice, that's what you call free will. Pokemon might be childish [which, for me, is untrue], but that doesn't mean it's only for children. Pokemon is a game, and games are meant to improve, but at the same time challenge and entertain you; and everyone can be improved, challenged and entertained, right?

( yeah im gonna get some hate for this )

well IMO theres no age that you become too old to play the games, but there is an age where you should stop being "open" about it

"open" as in wearing pokemon T-shirts, talking about it 24/7, playing the games in public, etc

And that age is probably around 18.. ( even though i stopped playing/talking about Pokemon in public around 9 or 10 ) I mean honestly I wouldn't wanna see a grown man/woman wearing pokemon T-shirts and playing Gameboy SP in public.. there's a certain age where you need to get over that .. I mean I don't mind an 18 year old playing it at his house with a couple friends but a grown man loving Pokemon in public ? no thanks

I don't think anyone should feel insecure about liking Pokemon or any thing for that matter at any age, if it feels good, and makes you somewhat complacent, then do it, who cares what others think?

    Poem:
The only thing i think, let me out of your mind.
So let me feel you, hate you.
    Where i don't belong.

Justify me, make the pain of you - penetrate me, and heal me.
    Where i didn't belong.

You look at me, flaming as fire. You are angry, and you fake me away.
    You would die.
    And i don't belong.
