Well I think the original poster is doing a playthrough which means he can't obtain his Deino/Zweilous until the very end
What the hell is Nuzlocke?
Nah, I think it's beter off being a pure Electric-Type. the Dark-Type moves it can learn are commonlly known by a lot of other Pokemon
Sing with me a song of Conquest and Fate
The black pillars crack beneath its weight
Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone
Lost in thoughts, all alone.
U mad brosephoenix? jk
I think it just should be pure electric, plus a lot of the dark moves it knows are known by many pokemon
Not enough dark to be a dark/electric pokemon.
The first time I ran into a Shinx, and evolved it into Luxio, I automatically thought it was part Dark, and not to mention it learns a fair amount of Dark type moves.
It would have made more sense to make it Electric/Dark, but I guess had their reasons to keep it pure Electric.
To me it doesn't look Dark enough but it would have been really cool to get STAB on Night Slash.
I agree with Rhyperior as well, Rhydon was to meh for me. It's design looks bad*** and has that beefy Attack and Defense IMO.
Electric/Dark would be really cool, but unfortunately it doesn't seem mean at all and the moves are just Bite&co.
I think Gothitelle should be Psychic/Dark more than Luxray for example.
Just a darker look and a few casual Dark attacks aren't enough. Otherwise lots of pure-types would be dual types.
It would probably feel less natural if pure types were rare lol.
I think it should have. It does look dark. I don't see how people don't see that and also it would've been a unique typing. And the Luxray line definitely reminded me of the Hondoom line.

I hate the design of Bagon, Salamence, and everyone in the Tepig and Chimchar families. :P
I loved all the "Useless" DP Evos and prevos! Froslass go!
I can't merge it in to this thread: http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthr...-635-Hydreigon
I am forced to shut it.
Honestly, when the artists design a brand new Pokemon family in that generation (like Skuntank, Luxray, Floatzel) they conserve much of the Pokemon's features across different evolution stages, and those were really decent. But whenever they have to add a new stage to an old line, they seem like they have the urge to go all out of the way to make them look vastly different from their old look.
The best evolutionary designs are brought about by a balance between change and consistency.

Plus does Cofagrigus being uncreative due to it being uncreative in design count because I've seen people bashing on his creativity too (no I never bashed on him)?
I love the Klink line, GF gave them praise with Wild Charge but poor Escavelier was thrown off the boat because he is one of my favorite Bug types and there my favorite type.
Luxray isn't evil nor can it learn many dark type moves. So the answer is no.
I think it should. But then again, I have a Shiny Luxray as my avatar and my sub-title clearly says "Dark Royalty".
they do look sort of evil, itd be nice to have a stab crunch 80+stab=120
