I think music is about 75% Of Pokémon :P
I heavily dislike competetive, and how it disses all my favorite Pokémon, and really, pretty much everuone I know says my team is so horrible I should switch it around, IN INGAME. Though I do want to learn competetive :P
The Chimchar and Tepig families are WAAAAAYYY overrated.
Masquerain can and will sweep all games if trained properly.
I dont treat my Pokémon like data, I get attached to them, and I really do care for them.
I think music is about 60% of any game. :P I tend to drop games which have bad musics.
Me too.
Are you kidding? Tepig is basically the most hated starter line. Chimchar line isn't really overrated, people like it because Infernape is a beast competitively. The Charmander line is the overrated one :P
Me too, again :P
It is you, it is you, it is all for you.
If we're talking about least chosen, Chikorita says hi.
A wild Stealth Rock appeared! xDDD Charizard lovers should be glad entry hazards aren't often used in-game :3
Unpopular opinions... I dislike how people think Garbador and Vanilluxe are unoriginal. Charizard is wayyyy more unoriginal tbh. A fire breathing flying dragon-looking lizard is wayyy too overused. Garbador and Vanilluxe actually are aesthetically pleasing than a pile of purple sludge, a weird humanoid with oversized muscles and underwear or a red and white giant ball.
Others include:
People thinking Red is overrated
People who bashes anything Gen 2 onwards
People who hates Samurott... It's awesome!
Less franchise relatedd
Over hate of Smogon (people hate how they dictate the scene when it's actually the usage - Eg. Metang in RU)

Fair enough. Tepig is the SECOND most hated line. xD
Thisss! You are my hero. :P
Isn't he? I mean, people treat him like the 'best trainer evah', but he is not better than the other protagonists in any way. In fact, Lyra/Ethan kicked his *** on Mt. Silver :P
I personally don't hate him, mainly because I like manga!Red, but...
It is you, it is you, it is all for you.
I don't see how he isn't overrated. Ethan/Lyra, Brendan/May, Lucas/Dawn and Nate/Rosa have all done the exact same things he did (force a criminal syndicate to disband and become the Champion); Ethan/Lyra have even gone so far as to have canonically defeated Red, and yet people still worship Red like a god, most often times because "he did it first." Well big whoop.

I like Chikorita! So cute and all :3
Red's overrated, Breandan and Lucas are soo much better.
the Trubbish, Vannilite, and Foongus lines were original, most of this hate probably comes from people who think GOLEM is origianl.
I actually like all of those "Useless" Sinnoh Evos. Really. much needed.
In my opinion, Fire types are the worst types. (this is probably the reason that I only have Fire types in two of the Pokémon games I own)
I think Bug types are pretty underrated as a whole. NOT INCLUDING THOSE OVERPOWERFUL VOLCARONA.
I should rephrase that competetive part in my last post.
I DISLIKE THAT MOST PEOPLE HATE ON MY FAVORITES BECAUSE THEY ARE DEEMED TOO WEAK. (eg. Glalie, Swanna, Drifblim)
Well, I like Red, I won't deny that. I love manga red :3 If you guys were talking about Games Red, leave me out. xD

I thought the music of BW was pretty decent when I first played it, but not as good as DPPt soundtrack, of course.
At least the rival theme from BW is way better than the DPPt one. I haaate Jun's theme ._.
Same here. I don't like all of them, but I also don't feel like they were useless.
Bug-Type is probably the least appreciated type after Poison and Rock. Well, at least Rock-Type moves are common in most teams ._.
But it is one of my favorite types :3 I like a lot of bugs: Heracross, Venomoth, Accelgor, Illumise, Yanmega, Leavanny, Scolipede, Crustle, Escavalier, Scizor, Vespiquen...
But in all fairness, Bug is waaay more appreciated today than it was before generation IV and V.
It is you, it is you, it is all for you.
Grass types are also quite under appreciated, since most Water types have Ice Beam and it has 5 weaknesses. Poison is just rarer... I have to say Gen IV really gave Poison types a new breath of life (no pun intended) in Crogaunk line and Drapion line, both of which are fascinating. Gen III is also a nice gen, since it gave Weezing Levitate. But many special poison types are just held back before Gen IV... similar to Gengar I guess.
I'm not 100% sure flying types are very appreciated other than a few defensive powerhouse or offensive powerhouse (Staraptor/Skarmory...) OR Flying slaves... xD Dark types are also quite rare, and not exactly the most appreciated either, except for immunity to Psychic :3

I did actually love Bugs before BW, they were mandatory in my team, and I had at least one bug in my team at all times (exception being JP Platinum, in which I had both Beautifly, Dustox and Mothim until the 5th Badge)
Also, nobody seems to like Chikorita. :'(
I love Chikoriuta, and it is by far the most underrated Poké of all times (Ok. Finneon and Hoppip are there too).
Oh that is for sure. People love to show hate towards Grass Pokémon... Now that I think, Grass is even more under-appreciated than Bug, at least competitively. There are a lot of usable Bug Pokémon, like Scizor, Forretress, Escavalier, Volcarona, Escavalier, Ninjask, Durant, Vespiquen, Accelgor... Grass, well, not that much.
Regarding Poison, yeah, besides Croagunk and Drapion, there is Skuntank who is pretty decent. Garbodor isn't that bad too. ^^
Venomoth is also way better now with Quiver Dance. But the type still need lots of improvements. :/
They aren't very used in competitive teams, but I always see people saying that "Dark is my favorite type", "Dark rules", etc. I don't think it is -that- unpopular. In fact, it is one of the types with most votes on the "what is your favorite type" pool on bulbagarden forums. If I had to classify the types by over- and under-appreciated, it would be like this:
Over:
- Fire
- Dragon
- Ground
- Ice
- Electric
- Steel
Under:
- Bug
- Rock
- Poison
- Flying
- Normal (I love normal ._.)
- Psychic (it was veeeeery popular once, but now a lot of people hate the type, due to it being very overused in legendaries... etc)
I think Dark and Ghost are 'so-so', some people like, some don't...
Well... I like Hoppip, if that counts :P shiny Jumpluf is gorgeous :')
It is you, it is you, it is all for you.
Ice types are overrated? Since when?
We're nothing more than concreteness victims trapped into our limits
Blind beliefs that lead us: "Trust in what we can perceive with senses".
Thousands minds that reflect our tendency to flatten layers of knowledge,
demonstrating that we're just wasting our time.
Look above us, sky is just a fragment and shows us how we're nothing more than ants.
Human weakness is what we hide, overwhelming celebration of our fault .
Entwined with our fears of being in your hands, we're deaf to the universe that guides us.
How can we enhance our thin perception of every small wonder hiding behind simple shapes?
Bugs are awesome. One of my favorite Pokémon back in Gold was a Ledian. For some reason I remember it kicking butt. Probably due to level. Another favorite of mine from those days was Girafarig. "Psychic, Crunch, Thunderbolt, Earthquake? Awesome!" said the younger me. My interest in bugs kinda waned in the 3rd gen, but the 4th gen brought it right back.![]()
I tend to like a lot of Pokémon people don't care for. Sometimes I watch a Let's Play of a Pokémon game and frown a bit when the LPer says, "It's not very good; I wouldn't recommend it to anyone." Any team can work out ingame, so advising people to stay away from a Pokémon is silly.
Edit; I love grass types too. Well, not so much the type as the Pokémon that have the type, but still. Grass types are something I like including in my teams.
Since when everybody and their mothers like them? Just go to the favorite thread, lots of people like it. I feel like I am the only person in the world to have it as the least favorite type.
And trust me, I love cold forecast, but I don't appreciate the overly white designs of Ice-Type Pokémon. Plus, they can't take hitssss, I like 'sturdy' and 'bulky' Pokémon.
Have in mind that I didn't say overrated, but over-appreciated. And that it doesn't mean that the type is 'awesome'... Fire isn't, for example...
It is you, it is you, it is all for you.
I rarely hear or see anyone appreciating Ice-types, in fact, it's almost always everyone moaning about how it's such a bad type.
As for it not being able to take hits, there are Ice-types that can take hits plenty well, look at Walrein for example. And obviously Ice-types tend to have "overly white designs", it's the same with fire types, and their overly red designs, or grass types with overly green designs.

The shiny Jumpluff is so true.
Though my view of over/under used isa slightly different thogu.
