    I also nickname my Pokémon with suitable nicknames, sometimes...

    Pidgeot - Airborne (Loves the air)

    Squirtle - Squirt (You can figure it out)

    Bulbasaur - Vince (I think it had something to do with "Vain" but not sure how I got that one)

    Goldeen - Rio (Spanish for "River")

    Drifloon - Loom (A loom is used to weave and Drifloon's feet sometimes get tangled)

    Mudkip - Pudkip (My friend made it up. Mix between "pudding" and "Mudkip")

    Ponyta - Louie/Lucy (I have 2 horses named Louie and Lucy)

    Infernape- Pyro (Self-Explanatory)

    Staraptor- Glide (Because of how it flies through the sky.)

    Bastiodon- Bash (Although the name doesn't fit since its attack is like 56. =__=)

    Gyarados- Storm (Also Self-Explanatory)

    Mismagius- Mystery (Would've been better if it was female...)

    Leafeon- Link (He kinda reminds me of Link.)

    I have more, I've nicknamed ALL of my pokemon, but I don't wanna put all of them here.
    In pokemon R/B/Y, there was a graveyard called pokemon tower where dead pokemon were laid to rest. In G/S/C the spot that was known as pokemon tower is now a radio station. So basically, they were like, "Screw the graveyard, we're gonna destroy it and put a radio tower there instead! Nobody's gonna miss the pokemon anyway; they're dead, right?" that's just cruel...

    nidoking- king
    aerodactyl ( i saw this in the digimon manual) dinomight (it IS prehistoric)

    shadow=umbreon
    secret=lucario

    but i having trouble with nicknaming my altaria, any ideas?

    Sometimes when I'm nicknaming Pokemon, I'll just ask people around me to make a noise or to tell me a name. I've gotten some weird results in the past.

    Buuuhhh
    Flemnjn
    Al Pacino
    Juniper
    Bbbvvv
    Herpes

    And so on. it's a lot more fun that way, actually.

    I've always nicknamed my Pokemon since B/R/Y.. I don't know why, I just like to give my Pokemon a personality.

    Uxie ; Delilah
    Mesprit ; SugarRush
    Shiny Azelf ; SuperEpic [This one was funny.. 'Super' is because it sort of has a Superman color coordination to it, and Epic because of how amazing the Lake Trio's battle theme is.]
    Gardevoir ; Cyco [Instead of spelling it Psycho]
    Meganium ; ShyBeam
    Mew ; Tricky.

    That's my DP team..
    I do actually have another Mesprit and Uxie that I traded from Diamond to Pearl..
    The two are shiny.. which were obtained by SRing.
    I nicknamed them Simon [Uxie] and Redlight [Mesprit].
