I knew I had read it somewhere. There are pokemon that look like hacks but ARE events. The Ernesto Ho-oh, with the 10048 ID number IS an Event pokemon. There is also a Mining Meseum Jirachi that IS also an Event. The OT is Baxter and the Id is 25199!!!! Don't delete 'em if you see 'em!!!! The Mew that I put on here that had the ID 01234 was an NYC event pokemon.

Jus' wanted ta let you know.

The NYC event mew was a fan hack, it was never a legitimate release, nintendo have said as much that no mew has ever been released under level 10. < I've emailed nintendo about this in the past and they confirmed as much.

Mining museum Jirachi, is also a hack, as the only way to recieve that Jirachi would be via wondercard, and those always say that their either from a lovely place or their from a certain event location. Also the very fact that you believe the US would've released a Jirachi with the OT of Baxter is hilarious, the US always aptly name the OT of their pokemon. That and the ID# just scream hacked, because the ID# almost always refers to the date.

The only events that say their from an in-game location are the pokemon off of pokemon ranch, and those were the first ever pokemon released with actual in-game locations as capture places.

As for the ernesto ho-oh, it too is hacked, although Ernesto is the OT in another language for MATTLE, its still hacked as it said from hoenn, it has to say "Distant Land", therefore hacked.

Also, i hope its not just me, but it seems that you are trying to justify the legitness of what are clearly hacks, i hope its not because you want to keep them, as you don't have any legit ones, or that your purposely trying to trick us into leaving these hacks out there, for whatever reason.

If the source is Gamefaq's/gamespot/neoseekers, then i can already tell you that a majority of trades on their are people trading hacks and claiming their legitness. I spent one whole year trading on their trying to dispose of all their hacks, but with AR cloning, it wasn't going to work.

Also you say you read this somewhere, could you please post the source where you read this(unless its one of the 3 i already mentioned, in which case their not worth reading), as i would really like to drop some knowledge on all those fools.

Sorry if i've come across rude Johnny, but your post really needed to be addressed, as it makes the rest of this clubs members look bad if a fellow member goes spouting that obvious hacks are legitimate releases. I hope i'm not only speaking for myself when i say that.

Well its definitely not EV trained as its only got an IV of 29 in special attack, it would seem its just been trained against random pokemon. Also theres no evidence that would say its hacked.

So in short, not EV trained properly if at all, seems legit.

I'm pretty sure its the wondercard that gives your regigigas(or any other WC event) its date and not the internal clock of the DS, but i could be wrong.

I'm havin' connection trouble here, ladies and gents. I can get into the Pokemon Center connection center and trade with people there without any problems but I can't get into GTS. When I go in it'll either load up on the connection scene and the litt'l revolvin' thing'll disappear and it won't go to the GTS room. Or it'll go to the GTS room and it'll start to retrieve a pokemon and after 5 minutes it still will be loadin'. Any suggestions?

@Johnny Knoxville: As long as you intend on being alligned with this club, do not claim hacked crap as legit and don't keep/ask for hacked crap. Fan events are poke sav'd hence fan made. That's why they are called fanevents. I knew someone who was making them. They are crap.

I was hunting mews today and found 3/3 that were legit. One, however is worth a special mention as it is a first for me:

Analysis: OT: Hayley, ID: 01000, cherish ball, lovely place. Date: Nov. 28, 2008
Additional info: fateful encounter lv.50, event moves: synthesis, return, hypnosis, teleport.
Action taken: Pending analysis. If ok, will either be returned to gts or given as a gift to a friend.

Well on this one while writing the report I noticed the date which is November 28, 2008. This could be someone who was dumb enough to alter the clock. Has the American release of ranch occured? I can't remember.

Also, I wanted to advise everyone that this year's TANABATA jirachi, the second given in a gen4 release, has been given out. It is on serebii.net's event list and WON'T be on the gts.

Well both US & EU Ranch have been released for a while now, so the nov.28 mew could be legit, as the dates for the ranch pokemon are dependant on your wii's date, and if someone was using the deposit/change to next day/deposit trick to be able to get phione/mew faster, then they may have done it repeatedly, and thus ended up on nov.28.

However if legit, i would say that its 75% likely to be a clone, given that it has no classic ribbon, and given that anything these days can be cloned using AR.

Thanks. I am not worried about cloning, especially th GTS cloning glitch. I want to point out that the Ranch pokemon don't come with classic ribbons. If they did, that would prevent trade on the gts thus making it a hack.
I did check up on the event list and it does not specify a ribbon for yukari's pokemon.
