Hm, maybe it's time I put a word in before the clutch.

So to be perfectly honest, I don't read all that many fics anymore, since instead I spend that time to write my own. But for the ones I have read, I can't say any of them top my favorite three (some of you know which ones those are), so I'm not going to nominate the best fic in any category. Some of your fics I haven't even read, and I bet they're great, so if I read them, I might have made the decision to nominate them. Plus, I just don't think it's really fair for me to nominate only the fics that I've read over some other fics that could be better written but I just haven't read. No offense to all your fics, or anything like that, but that's just the way I feel.

I feel the same way with the best author category as well, since again, I haven't read nearly enough fics to feel qualified to nominate anybody.

So I'm just going to nominate a one-shot here, that I thought was pretty exceptional, and two individual awards.

I have a question. What about the catagories that only have one nominee? I mean, shouldn't there by at least two per catagory? I'm just wondering about that. ^^;

well, those categories with one nominee, is what's left...
If there's a category with one nominee, it means that the said nominee was the only one to get nominated at least twice in that category...the others were either nominated once, or not at all...
So they kinda win the category by default :/

I see... so basically none of us have to vote on the catagories that have only one nominee, right? But aww, more people should have nominated. It's kind of like the Oscars loses its' point if one wins by default. How long did everyone have time to nominate? I think about a couple more weeks can do some good. And having more people spread the word can be better like the Fanfiction forum. Well, not literally make a thread to advertise but just have members link to the Shipping Oscars in their sig, I suppose. ... I'm sounding a little confusing, aren't I? xD

Sometimes it's hard to people to nominate because many don't have the time to read much fanfiction. For me, I mostly read one-shots but will read multi-chaptered fics whenever I can. I think that might be the case for a lot of people or simply because they're closet readers. Or maybe it's the lag as well. If more people come by and agree to having some extra time then that could possibly work. :3

Tell me Kris, (and no, you're not sounding confusing xDD), what good would people who don't come to this section in nominating and/or voting for fics they have barely read ?
Since obviously, if we need to advertise, that means people who aren't familiar with this forum will need to come by...
And I'm fairly sure all the people who actively come here have seen this thread...just take a look at the number of views this thread has !
And if people don't read chaptered fics, let them nominate other stuff, or anything they want !
