I am currently playing through Viridian Forest in Pokemon Yellow...my battery likely will not die, though.
I am currently playing through Viridian Forest in Pokemon Yellow...my battery likely will not die, though.
I arrived at the Pokemon Center by the entrance to the Rock Tunnel and I headed inside in order to heal my Pokemon. After healing them, I went back outside and trained my Pokemon in the tall grass by the stream that led to the Power Plant, then I went back to the Pokemon Center to swap Pokemon and I entered Rock Tunnel afterwards. I used Flash since it was completely dark inside and I moved around the first cavernous floor and I battled some wild Pokemon. As I moved around the next couple of floors, I battled some trainers and I also caught some wild Pokemon like Machop and Onix. I battled all the trainers inside the tunnel, then I exited the cave and battled a few more trainers north of Lavender Town.
So I picked up my Red File the other day. I went to Sapphron City, beat TR and my rival, and got through the Power Plant for TM25, Thunder. Next I am going to do some more training and then I will go to the gym of Sabrina. Current Team:

I finally arrived in Lavender Town after walking through Rock Tunnel. I healed my Pokemon at the local Pokemon Center, then I headed over to the Poke Mart in order to purchase some items. I visited some other house in town, then I went over to the Pokemon Tower but I couldn't do much there since I couldn't identify the ghosts that roamed the building. I headed back down to Lavender Town and I headed west towards Route 8. I battled some trainers in that area as I moved towards the Saffron City gatehouse. I also battled some wild Pokemon in the tall grass in the middle section of the route, then I entered the Underground Path building and traveled underneath Saffron City via the tunnel there and saved.
I just restarted my old copy of Red version for a Nuzlocke run of it. It's a tv show/movie run of it, so all characters and Pokémon are named after those things.
The only rules for this are as follows...
I have to catch what I run into first. Only exception being if I keep on running into the same kind of Pokémon over and over again...*This rule came into being due to that PARADE of Pidgeys I ran into in episode 2. If I would have went by the book, my team would be full of them .*
Anything that faints I have to release. (except for my starter and any rares)
* Might add some stuff onto them as I go along, if I see fit to.
I started out my journey talking to Professor Oak and told him my name along with the name of my rival. Went with Harry, who is named after Judge Harry T. Stone from Night Court. Named my rival, Dan, after Dan Fielding from Night Court. Got to my house, talked to my mom, then went up to my old, dusty bed room. That has an antique Game Cube in it :3. Wish I could reach inside the screen to take it! I then went down stairs and out the door.
I was finally on my way... or so I thought. Made it all the way to the dang grass, when Oak came over and told me it was not safe to go out there alone. He took me back to his place and I got to pick out a Pokémon. Went with Charmander and I named him Fox Mulder, from the X-Files. Then my rival showed up, picked out Squirtle and challenged me and Fox to a battle. Me and Charmander were ready for the challenge.
He went and brought his A game against that pesky Squirtle and took him down swiftly. We spammed Growl at first in order to bring down it's attack, and then we spammed Scratch to damage him. He tried fighting back via Tail Whip and Tackle, but it wasn't enough in the end. We won the battle, and continued on our journey.
We're now in the middle of some hard core training and planning on getting to at least level 12 by tonight.
Later on in the day...
The last we left our fair heroes, was near Viridian town, working hard up to level 12. The goal was met and it was off to the Poké Mart to go and get Professor Oak's package, from the shop owner. Then back on the road again. Got back to the Professor's lab and left the package with him. Then Dan showed up... and Oak gave us our Pokédexes.
Then the little twerp decided to try and put me down as he left his uncle's lab. Right after that, I left the confine's of the Prof's lab and went back on the road again. Finally free to get some Pokéballs, can't leave home without them . It would be no fun tackling Pokémon in order to capture them, let alone painful.
Got back to Viridian City and went straight to the Poké Mart. Purchased 10 Pokéballs and then left the store to go out and catch some new additions to my team. First up was Pidgey... named it Blanche, after Blanche from the Golden Girls. Then I ran into a Rattata, which Fox proceeded to accidentally knock out XD. A parade of Pidgeys then ensued, until, FINALLY another Rattata showed up, which I then caught. I named it Rose, after Rose from the Golden Girls.
Will be doing more training tomorrow, hoping to raise my team to at least level 5 or so.
Looking forward to the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Will be training up the shiny Abra I have that's named Robin in honor of you. May you R.I.P.
I exited the Underground Path and arrived west of Celadon City. I battled a few Pokemon in the tall grass there and then I headed east until I finally arrived in Celadon City. I healed my Pokemon at the local Pokemon Center and then I headed out and wandered around the big city. I visited the Game Corner, but I needed a Coin Case first before I could play the slot machines. I headed south to the restaurant and spoke to a man inside and got the Coin Case from him, then I headed over to the Game Corner again. After purchasing some coins and playing games, I headed over to the Department Store and shopped. I purchased some evolutionary stones and other items, then I headed south to the Celadon Gym.
Been playing on pokemon green. Got 4 badges so far. Just caught a cubone in the pokemon tower.
I used Cut to cut down the tree in front of the Celadon City Gym and I entered said Gym. Once inside, I battled against female Gym trainers and I defeated their Grass-type Pokemon quite easily. I headed out to heal my Pokemon again after that, then I returned to the Gym in order to challenge Erika for the Rainbow Badge. I battled Erika and I used my Pidgeotto against her Victreebel and Tangela, then I used my Vulpix against her Vileplume and defeated it with Ember. I obtained the Rainbow Badge and Mega Drain TM from her and then I headed out. I visited the Celadon Department Store once more and I shopped there. I then headed to the roof of the Celadon Mansion and I obtained the gift Eevee and then saved.
I decided to replay Pokémon Blue thanks to TwitchPlays. I missed my old purple Game Boy Color so much and I'm really glad it still works just fine after all this time!
My adventure started yesterday and I've already defeated Brock thanks to my Bulbasaur (which evolved in the end of it) but I also had a Pikachu at the time in my party, although its moves were useless. After a while, I decided to catch a Paras in Mt. Moon and nicknamed it "CORDYCEPS" because of its Pokédex entry.
I headed to the Celadon City Game Corner after doing some more stuff around the city and I interacted with a poster on the wall and I unlocked the entrance to the Rocket Hideout. I wandered around the first floor there and I battled some Team Rocket grunts as I moved around. I also stepped onto some spinning tiles that sent me in different directions. I picked up some items around the hideout and then I obtained the Lift Key item that would unlock the elevator. I took the elevator up to Giovanni's location and I defeated his Onix, Rhyhorn, and Kangaskhan. He left the Rocket Hideout after that loss and I picked up the Silph Scope and headed out as well. I healed my Pokemon, then I went east towards Saffron City.
After getting to know Bill
Gatesand its new invention he gave me his S.S. Ticket as a reward for helping him and I headed to my third gym battle but first I had to get TM01 in order to cut the tree. Even though I knew I'd have to go to the ship I decided to train CORDYCEPS (my Paras) a little bit more and while doing so I faced a lv.20 Digglet and catched it. I also managed to get a Bicycle thanks to the Rapidash maniaclover.

I spoke to a guard at the Saffron City gatehouse and I gave him a Soda Pop and he allowed me into the city. I visited the local Pokemon Center upon arrival in Saffron City, then I headed out to Lavender Town to the east. I arrived there and I quickly climbed the Pokemon Tower now that I could finally see the ghosts thanks to the Silph Scope. I battled and caught a wild Gastly and Haunter as I climbed and I also battled against Channelers and their Ghost-type Pokemon. I healed my team inside of a purification zone halfway up the tower, then I battled the ghost Marowak and I arrived at the summit. I defeated some Team Rocket grunts there and returned to Mr. Fuji's house afterwards and got the Poke Flute.
While I was training CORDYCEPS inside the ship I managed to evolve it to a Parasect and after battling all those trainers and sailors I headed to my third gym battle. Thanks to Digglet I destroyed them all easily and went back to the last city where previously I couldn't cut a tree that leaded to Rock Tunnel. The way was full of trainers which was good because my little mole evolved to Dugtrio and now there I am facing the terrible dark cave with no Flash teached.
I headed back to Celadon City after getting the Poke Flute item in Lavender Town. I headed all the way west to Route 16 and I spotted a sleeping Snorlax by the gatehouse that led into Cycling Road. I used the Poke Flute to awaken the sleeping Snorlax and it attacked. I weakened it slowly and captured it in a Great Ball, then I headed through the gatehouse and I battled some Bikers and other miscellaneous trainers on the bike trail. I headed downhill while battling the trainers on Route 17 and I soon arrived at the southern entrance of Cycling Road. I battled some trainers on Route 18 and then I arrived in Fuchsia City. I visited the Poke Mart to purchase items, then the Safari Zone warden's house and saved.
After getting out of Rock Tunnel without using Flash I talked with that impressive girl who predicted Munna and after that I battled many other trainers along the way. Then, I got my fourth gym badge and discovered a secret TR base inside the Casino where I defeated Giovanni. My team at this point seemed pretty solid and I was ready to catch some more in the future! After defeating the Mafia there I headed back to the spooky town to return the peace to it by expelling Team Rocket from there and defeating Mama Bones (Marowak's spirit). All this adventure managed me to get a Poke Flute which was needed to wake up that lazy Snorlax! After battling it I took a different path and got the HM02 from a lady near it.
Next stop: Safari Zone!
I left the Safari Zone warden's house after speaking to him there and I headed over to the actual Safari Zone itself. I spoke to the attendant and paid a fee and received 30 Safari Balls and I was then allowed access into the Safari Zone itself. I wandered through the first couple of areas and tried to catch a Kangaskhan, but it fled. I caught a wild Exeggcute and Duduo instead and I wandered around until I arrived at a clearing where I found the Gold Teeth that the Safari Zone warden was missing. I headed deeper into the Safari Zone and after catching a wild Venomoth, I found the building where the Surf HM was. I received it from the guy instead and then I left the Safari Zone when my time ran out and saved.
So far I got a Doduo in the Safari Zone and managed to get HM04 and HM03. Then, I went to the gym and defeated Koga thanks to my now evolved Dodrio. I went to the islands near Cinnabar City and caught a Seel at level 30. After training the water Pokémon in the destroyed mansion full of fire type Pokémon it evolved and I taught it Ice Beam. Now I feel my full team is finally ready to face any obstacle. It was interesting to read some documents about Mew but I decided to leave that Mansion for later and I'm now ready to face Team Rocket!
Next stop: Silph Co.
I healed my Pokemon at the Fuchsia City Pokemon Center after leaving the local Safari Zone and I headed east out of the city and into Route 15. I battled many trainers in that area and I battled some wild Pokemon too for extra experience in order to level up my Pokemon. I headed over to Route 14 and Route 13 as well and I trained my Pokemon against the trainers there. I returned to Fuchsia City after training for about 30 minutes. I then visited the Fuchsia City Gym and I battled against the Gym trainers as I moved around the invisible wall Gym puzzle. I left to the Pokemon Center after I defeated all the Gym trainers, then I went back to the Gym and I saved the game before challenging Gym Leader Koga to a battle.
PokéDex Seen: 8
Play time: 1:21
METAPOD lvl 7
SQUIRTLE lvl 10
PIDGEY lvl 7
RATTATA lvl 7
KAKUNA lvl 7
Locaton: Vermilion City Pokémon Center
Task: Grind before Viridian Forest.
I finally challenged Gym Leader Koga and I used my newly-evolved Ninetales against Koga's first Koffing. After beating it with Ember, I switched to my Graveler and I beat Koga's Weezing with a couple of Rock Throw attacks. I used Blastoise against Koga's second Koffing, then Graveler's Magnitude against his Muk. I received the Soul Badge and the Toxic TM from Gym Leader Koga after the battle, then I headed over to Route 15 for some more training. I headed to Route 14 and then Route 13 afterwards and I went all the way back to Lavender Town. I did some shopping there, then I went west to Saffron City and I wandered over to the Silph Co. building in order to oust the invading Team Rocket grunts inside.
After defeating Team Rocket in Silph Co. I decided to face Sabrina and the victory was not that hard even though my CORDYCEPS didn't know any Bug type move (THANK YOU Game Freak for not letting it know any bug move but Leach Life...) then I went to Cinnabar Island. After a while, I fond the Secret Key that was laying on the floor of the Mansion and I went directly to the 7th Gym. Dugtrio did the whole job with no problem at all (aka spamming Earthquakes here and there).
Next stop: The very last Gym!
I wandered around the Silph Co. building and I moved around the various floors of the skyscraper in an attempt to battle Team Rocket and stop their invasion of Saffron City. I headed over to the third floor after getting the Card Key a few floors above and I open some of the locked doors on that floor. I soon battled more Team Rocket grunts on the other floors and I healed my Pokemon by one of the beds on another floor and I also obtained some items that were laying around as well as some that Silph Co. employees gave me including the Selfdestruct TM and Take Down TM. I battled more Team Rocket grunts and I also warped to different floors before I arrived at a smaller room where my rival showed up to battle me.
The very final gym battle was not that difficult thanks to my Dewgong and Venusaur which swept the ground (pun intended). Giovanni was defeated and there I was proud of my team and its accomplishments: the 8 gym badges! I wonder if this is really the end of Team Rocket like Giovanni did say... I guess I should never trust Mafia.
Then, I went towards the entrance of the Victory Road when Blue appeared out of nowhere and decided to battle me... as usual. What shocked me was that he has Pokémon which are at level 50 and I have them all at level 41~46. Times will be harder now!
Next stop: Victory Road!
I battled against my rival inside of Silph Co. and I used Graveler against his Pidgeot. After beating it with Rock Throw, I switched to my Raichu to battle his Gyarados. After defeating it with Thunderbolt, I switched over to my Pidgeot to beat my rival's Venusaur with Fly. I then used Blastoise against his Growlithe and finally my Graveler against his Alakazam. I got a gift Lapras from a guy in the same room afterwards and I headed over a warp tile and I arrived at the final floor of Silph Co. I battled Giovanni after unlocking the door and I used my Blastoise against his Rhyhorn, Nidoqueen, and Nidorino and then my Vileplume against Giovanni's Kangaskhan. I received the Master Ball from the president afterwards and saved.
