Um...Bad Egg on Diamond. :/

Uh, yeah. I was trying out a Pokerus AR code on a friend's Diamond...and I guess the code was only for Pearl because it worked correctly on my Pearl, but it gave Diamond a Bad Egg. Do any of y'all know if there is a way to get rid of it? If not, the owner of the game is going to kill me and my sister... o_O
