Devimon was a demon, so he was automatically a villain. Angemon is an angel, so he's the perfect guy to counter Devimon.
I wonder what would happen if Angemon encountered Lucemon, considering Lucemon is an angel too (albiet a fallen one but still one).

Oikawa didn't technically kill himself, and Myotismon was already dead by the time that happened. He knew he was dying anyway and used the last of his strength to make his wish.

New topic:
There have only been three Royal Knights who are on the Digidestineds side, and two of those weren't even mentioned as Royal Knights. Omnimon in Adventure/02 and Tamers, Gallantmon in Tamers and Kentaurosmon in Data Squad. Utterly stupid.
Magnamon from Adventure 02 is also a Royal Knight.

That would likely depend on which form Lucemon is in. In regular form, I don't see Angemon being able to do much. In Chaos form, Angemon would probably do the normal amount of damage. Shadow Lord/Larva form would probably be the mode Angemon would be strongest against.
What do you think of the Royal Knights constantly being portrayed as villains?
I find it amusing. Separately, they're all great guys and allies of the Chosen Children (Omegamon, Magnamon, Dukemon, Sleipmon). Bring them together, though, and their extreme loyalty to their "master" brings their downfall. It's amusing because Digimon has such a strong emphasis about working as a team, but these guys work as a team and keep failing hard because they're following the wrong guy.
What do you think of the Royal Knights constantly being portrayed as villians?
It's kind of funny because of the way of how feminine these guys can be when they are villians, as shown in the fourth season. It would be nice for them to act the way they did back in X-Evolution, as Alphamon inspired Omnimon to actually fight back against Yggdrasil. And then, almost right after that movie, you see the Royal Knights actually obeying that guy! That doesn't make sense to me. But enough of my ranting, just get that I want the Royal Knights to be heroes.
Aw. That's evil! But if it's in the rules, I must obey it. Anyway, that one can be for another day, like tomorrow. So you are the newest co-owner? Congratulations! Can I learn a bit about you?
What do you think of the Royal Knights constantly being portrayed as villains?
Its insanity, that's what it is! Shouldn't they be the "Good" guys? After all, when you hear Royal Knight you think of someone heroic, not someone with Crazed Loyalty. Oh well, it's different and that's cool.
As of this post (According to my calculations), I have finally reached the ultimate stage! This may seem a bit drastic, but my Meramon is Digivolving to Vademon please! 800 points exactly WOOT!

Okay, I'll change your rank. (You're keeping track yourself? Okay, that's less work for me) Just remind me that you're keeping track yourself so I don't accidentally re-add your points later when I do the post count.
Alright, Stoc, it's time for your topic: What do you think of Yggdrasil/King Drasil?
Personally, I didn't like him/it in Savers. Not a very thrilling bad-guy in my opinion. I mean, who's scared of a computerized tree? Pretty lame.
This can mean only one thing:
More action, adventure, pants jokes, and Shamanmon mix-ups!
"That was four things, Senpai."
Shut up.
What do you think of the Royal Knights constantly being portrayed as villains?
Frankly, i don't really mind it. I admit that when i think of Royal Knights i do think of good guys, but i see them more as a group of Digimon who serve the ruler of the Digital World. I've never thought that they have to be good. I just think they're supposed to serve the ruler of the Digital World. If the ruler is good then they are good. If they're like Yggdrasil and evil then the royal knights would seem evil as well. So i'm happy with how they're portrayed in the anime.
What do you think of Yggdrasil/King Drasil?
Don't really have an opinion. I've only seen the very first episode in which Yggdrasil is introduced in Data Squad. I haven't actually seen Yggdrasil really do anything besides recount Kurata's stupidity.

What do think of Yggdrasil/King Drasil?
I think that Yggdrasil isn't really evil, he just does the rational thing to ensure his survival. For example, in Data Squad when he plans to destroy the Real World to save the Digital World, he is just doing the rational thing (even if that isn't really any excuse for what he does).

He who fights monsters should see to it that he himself does not become a monster
And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you Digimon: Broken Code
Yggdrasil's a pretty good final villain. It's like a somewhat better version of D-Reaper... it's a program doing what it thinks is best to achieve its goals without considering morals or the lives of others, but Yggdrasil feels like more of a threat than The Blob That Ate Shinjuku. Probably because his emissaries are fully sentient, among other reasons.
To be fair, I liked Yggdrasil better in X-Evolution than in Savers. X-Evo's Ball-of-light-with-Digimon-attached feels more like a program than that full Digimon form it had in Savers.
He's the most cruel villian in all of Digimon. Whether it's taunting members of DATS, or creating the army of DexGreymon to destroy the Digimon world in X-Evolution, he always seems to get to a new low of evil.
By the way Stoc, it was DexDoruGreymon he used to try and destroy the Digital World, not DexGreymon.
But Yggdrasil was pretty cruel, except in a manga. In Next, it actually took the form of a human girl to try and find out what humans mean to Digimon. Plus, it created the two Twin Digivices.
EDIT: 5 days till the RPG!

Haven't got that far in Data Squad, at least, I gather thats what he's in.
Right, I have a Digimon line I've made for another site, and would like to ask what people think of it, and tell me what needs improving.

I don't know what that is except for something in Norse mythology.
Yggdrasil was the main bad-guy of Savers/Data Squad, and of X-Evolution. However, in Digimon: Next, Yggdrasil was actually a good-guy...er...gal.
In Savers, Yggdrasil is a big, "scary" tree that Marcus punches. Boom. In X-Evolution, Yggdrasil is a big orb of shiny-ness that is "evil". So...yeah.
Just a few more days until the debut of the Guardians Re-write and of the RP! Hooray!
New topic: What were your top three most memorable moments in any Digimon game?
1. The first time I beat Digimon World 4. My friends and I had played through the entire game together, and we had finally made it to the final, final, final boss. After a long and hard battle, we finally won by using a very simple strategy: Have two of my friends (Dorumon and Veemon, levels 36 and 34, respectively) take care of the long-range attacks by using guns and MP attacks, which, in turn, opened myself and another friend (Agumon and WarGreymon X, levels 68 and 36, respectively) up for close-range attacks. Basically, with my awesome Agumon-power, I managed to outlast everyone else and ended the fight with some enormously damaging hacks from my Rage Hammer Beta. Yup.
2. Second place goes to the time when I was re-playing through Dawn ('cause my ShineGreymon Burst Mode killed everything it touched with one move) and I was rushing through it pretty fast. Finally, I came to the part of the game where you fight Gaioumon. Now, that's normally a pretty easy fight, but remember, I was playing through the game fast, and I only had one Ultimate level, four Champions, and a Rookie that I was training. The fight lasted forever, until finally Gaioumon managed to kill off all but one of my Digimon...my level 12 Monodramon. Fortunately, it was Monodramon's turn to attack. Monodramon went in with a solid attack...and got a critical hit! My level 12 Monodramon beat Gaioumon! After that, I've never looked at a Monodramon the same way.
3. Third place goes to the time when me and three other friends were playing Rumble Arena 2. We were in Rubber Tree Falls, which just so happens to be the place one of my friends (who likes to play as MegaKabuterimon) is best at. MegaKabuterimon got a bunch of lucky kills on all of us, and got five or six extra lives. It ended up with just me (an Agumon, one life, half my health left) against my friend (MegaKabuterimon, twelve lives, full health). It was a frantic battle involving me running around like a moron...that is, until I got two Digivolve things in a row. The moment I became WarGreymon, the tide turned. That is, the tide turned into a tsunami upon my opponent. I got kill after kill on him and ended up winning the match with one life and half my health left.
Runners-up:
The first time I beat Digimon World: Dawn and the time I beat all my friend's Mega level Digimon with a Numemon (on Dawn).
