Hi, I can't decide which L1 Togepi should I train.

Togepi #1 has Gentle nature, Serene Grace ability, max HP and Def IV, and Hidden Power Ice
Togepi #2 has Calm nature, Serene Grace ability, max HP and Def IV, and Hidden Power Water

They have Nasty Plot as an egg move and I want them to keep that move, but apart from that I haven't made any decisions about the moveset.

    Would appreciate your advice, thanks!

    For socialgenius1
I think Togekiss (after it evolve) don't really need Hidden Power since its move set already give a lot of coverage. Use the second one because Calm nature is a lot better than Gentle nature. The other three move that I recommend were Air Slash, Aura Sphere and Roost. Air Slash has 60% to flinch your opponent Pokemon because of Serene Grace, also it has STAB. Aura Sphere give a lot of coverage for Togekiss. Roost to gain Togekiss HP by half which make Togekiss a lot harder to defeat. My reccomend item would be Life Orb or King's Rock, Life Orb for more Special Attack or King's Rock for higher chance to flinch your opponent Pokemon with Air Slash.
    Hope this help

    Togekiss @Leftovers
    Calm l Serene Grace
    252 Sp.Atk. l 252 HP l 4 Speed
    • Air Slash
    • Substitute / Roost
    • Nasty Plot
    • Aura Sphere

I agree. The second one is better.

Hmmm, looks like nothing good has happened here in a while.

    Poliwrath @ Muscle Band
    Adamant Nature
    252 HP/176 Atk/76 SpD
    •Water Absorb•
    • Bulk Up
    • Waterfall
    • Brick Break
    • Earthquake

Attack EVs hit the 2nd highest jump point with the rest in SpD

Edit: Here's a few more, maybe you can all learn something.

    Swampert @ Muscle Band
    Adamant Nature
    252 Atk/174 HP/84 Spe
    •Torrent•
    • Waterfall
    • Earthquake
    • Stone Edge
    • Ice Punch

The speed EVs let him outspeed base 70s with the rest tossed in HP.

    Forretress @ Iron Ball
    Brave Nature
    252 HP/216 Atk/36 Def
    •Sturdy•
    • Payback
    • Revenge
    • Gyro Ball
    • Earthquake

The EVs max HP, hit the highest attack jump point and the rest are in defense. He always moves last, so Revenge is perfect, same goes for Payback and Iron Ball powers up his STAB attack.

Anyone can post a standard set, how about some of you n00bs get a little creative?

If you just want to get through in-game, you can use a more direct set.

    Mantine
    Calm
    • Surf
    • Ice Beam
    • Signal Beam/Psybeam
    • Toxic/Confuse Ray

Or if your team isn't hindered by Rain, you could try Rain Dance in there with Swift Swim. Though of course, that makes you susceptible to Thunder.

Is this a good moveset for my Heracross in HG

    Heracross
    *Close Combat
    *Megahorn
    *Rock Slide
    *Aerial Ace

Also Please tell if Iron Tail is worth using on my Physical-based Nidoking to counter Ice Types(Rock types will already be countered by STAB Earthquake) or should I wait until accessing the battle frontier to get Brick Break.

I would suggest Stone Edge, but Rock Slide is fine if you're afraid of missing. You don't really need Aerial Ace; you could go with Swords Dance or Bulk Up; the reason being that whatever Aerial Ace hits for SE damage would be even weaker than STAB Close Combat / STAB Megahorn, unless you're up against Breloom or another Heracross.

As for Nidoking, no. You don't need both actually. Steel has horrible coverage offensive-wise and SE Brick Break is - again, same reason as Heracross - would hit with same base power as neutral STAB Earthquake. I would go with a move that complements the rest of your team. Look around and decide since Nidoking has many options to choose from.

Flamethrower / Thunderbolt are nice on Nidoking if you can get the TM's.

Out of these 3... Which on is the best?

    Gengar
(Don't know the nature yet) | Levitate
    • Shadow Ball
    • Thunderbolt
    • Sludge Bomb
    • Focus Blast

    Heracross
(Don't know the nature yet) | Guts
    •Megahorn
    •Close Combat
    •Stone Edge
    •Swords Dance / Bulk Up

    Machamp
(Don't know the nature yet) | No Guard
    •Dynamicpunch
    •Cross Chop
    •Earthquake / Giga Impact
    •Stone Edge

I've used Gengar, haven't used Machamp in years (never with an actual strategy), and have never used Heracross.

Changes in Bold. It really depends though. If you want a Special Sweeper go with Gengar. If you want a Physical Sweeper I really like Heracross. Just look at your team and try to decide.

Honestly I don't care about phyisical or special sweeping...
My thread with my team is over here.
But in case you don't feel like going there I have 2 physical sweepers, 2 special sweepers, and a mixedNite (who I like more as a physical sweeper but unintentionally gave him a special move). What do u (or anyone else) think?

    What about him?

    Arcanine @ Expert Belt
    Mild | Intimidate
    • Flamethrower / Fire Blast
    • Dragon Pulse
    • Thunder Fang
    • Crunch

Looks like it could work. Mild lowers Defense, so Intimidate will help soften physical hits.

Any advice for a Typhlosion moveset?

I'm pretty inexperienced with movesets, but I'm thinking:
    Flamethrower
    Eruption
    Brick Break
    Thunderpunch

you could give it a choice scarf or life orb..

    - Eruption
    - Focus Blast
    - Flamethrower
    - Hidden Power [Grass]

I was thinking more a mixed sweeper. I'm not big on EVs, so I wasn't planning on using Hidden Power.

What you had was almost there..

    Typhlosion
*some nature that doesn't hinder either of its attacks
    - Flamethrower / Overheat
    - Focus Blast / Brick Break
    - Shadow Claw
    - Thunder Punch

I like typhlosion more physical than special. YES eruption goes well with choice scarf but I'm thinking only one STAB on this set and I wouldn't want eruption to be your only STAB move..
If you're gonna have only 1 special move, then go with overheat. If you're using focus blast instead of brick break, then you could go with flamethrower instead. But that's probably
unlikely since you already have brick break and focus blast accuracy issues. Shadow claw lets you hit everything neutral i think and thunder punch for super effective hits against waters

Energy Ball will be more useful in the long run since you'll be lowering your Special Attack.
