It probubly doesn't fly literally, because... Well how would it lift from the ground? It probubly more or so glides instead. As you say below...

Yes, I have super smash brawl and I know how metaknight, pit and charizard glide, but the pokedex also says garchomp has wings (those things where its arms are).

No he is not too heavy... Rayquaza can fly... and he has no wings... and he weighs 455 lbs.

Dodrio can fly... he also has no wings and is nearly as heavy as garchomp. (WHAT?!?)

Arceus can learn fly... he has no wings and weighs 700lbs. Or are there exceptions for super-super-super-super legendary pokemon?

Here are those pathetic pokemon that CAN learn fly:

Starly, Pidgey, Spearow, Tailow, Zubat, Doduo (WHAT?!?), Hoothoot, Delibird, Murkrow, Wingull, Vibrava, Swablu and Chatot.

Apparently, in RBY, Slowbro holds on to Shellder while it sucks on its tail. Since Slowbro's tail would break (either by being crushed by its weight, or being impossible lengthy and flexible, when we know its big and chunky)by being bent that much, I think there's a better explanation as to what Shellder is attached to.

Ingame, Mantyke evolves into Mantine when a shellder is attashed to it, but Slowpoke still evolves by level up. Shouldn't they change that now?

About Fly and Surf learned by small pokemon. It make sence that they can learn it as an attacking mowe but NOT as a HM'. About pokemon like Arzeus and mew. They have spesical powers, so evrything makes sence about them.

Oddish and gloom are the same size, bellosom is smaller than both of them. And wen gloom becomes bellosom it loses its type. Also mantyke evolves wen it levels up whilst a remoraid is in ur party.

I read that it can also jump over the Eiffel Tower.

Sunkern is actually considered the weakest pokemon in the games (despite its movepool) compared to Magikarp(maybe because of Magikarp's Flail attack?).
