I don't believe that the Protect would go up against the Sucker Punch, mostly because the Protect would desolve after it took the hit from the Faint Attack. Also I believe that Protect can't be used while an attack, Discharge and Thunderbolt, are being commanded.
I am most likely wrong here so whatever happens, happens...
