I saw this episode a month ago and its actually pretty good. I liked how Crasher Wake appeared in this episode. And the festival was pretty interesting. Not the best Sinnoh episode, but its still a good episode.

I'm sure that somebody said a while ago that Crasher Wake refers to Dawn as Ash's girlfriend, so if he does it will be intresting to see the reactions.

No, seriously there won't be a toxicroak because Pastoria City's symbol Pokemon is just Croagunk, and its not an episode about evolution like in Venusaur/Ivysaur/Bulbasur episode.

Yeah, I was just about to comment on that. Why did they change it o_O? I think someone said the character design was originally a reference to something but come on, Pokemon usually leaves in the refs even if overseas people won't get it. So why edit it out this time?

The weird thing is, it doesn't look like a dub edit. You wouldn't even know if you didn't see the original. His hair was like flawlessy changed yet his face remains the same.

Makes me wonder if possibly the reairings of the Japanese Episodes were changed as well, due to a copyright issue?

Ah well, that distraction aside, the dub did a good job! It was just as enjoyable, tho kid!James' voice irked me a bit since he didn't even try XD

Darn, I didn't know that the episode was airing in 6:00 a.m., but at least I got see the rest of the episode. I'm surprised Jason Griffith (Sonic's voice actor) starred in this episode, which made me quite happy. Now if only there was an episode featuring David Hayter (Snake's voice actor).

Wow, he did? It's been awhile since last year, he was in a Season 2 episode of Magical DoReMi (new episode online though). Man, good memories

Yeah, I was also a victim of this misunderstanding. I also saw the end of the episode (just barely), and from what I saw, Wake's dub voice sounded... wrong. Oh, well. The rest of the episode looked good, though. I'll have to remember that they're being shown at 9:00 instead of 9:30 now.

The episode was pretty average to me.

The upsides
- Wow, That's a lot of croagunks!
- Crasher wake appears in this episode
- The rivalry between Brock and Hamilton was pretty interesting.
- Liked the music that played throughout the festival.
- Poor Meowth, he broke his paw with the bricks.

The Average (didn't mind at all)
- Hamilton's hair was changed from the Japanese version to the dub, Possibly by the animators for unknown reasons.
- It was really confusing to tell which croagunk is which when they are in a crowd.
- Only 9 pieces compared to the Riolu special, which kept all of it.

The downsides
- I usually love the dub voices, but Hamilton's by Jason Griffith was abysmal, It sounds like his voice of Sonic. I hate that voice. That's one actor I was REALLY hoping PUSA would stay FAR AWAY from.
- Why did team rocket even think of entering meowth in the contest, what were they thinking.
- The episode moved back a half hour, I almost missed it.

The change of that kid was great, his hair looks so natural even like it was brown in the original. I can't wait to see the episode!

That's the first thing I thought when I saw Hamilton too! Totally weird. I didn't really care for the original, so I was kinda ok with this change.

Oh and don't get me started on the music change at the festival. When Ash went to dance they played the first ending theme from the BF saga, which I happen to love!

It is kind of a shame that he was changed, since it's not like it was a case of malicious plagarisation. It was what can only be assumed as a friendly nod to an older show. Granted, it probably wasn't the best idea to follow the design of the original character that closely, so it's perfectly understandable that someone would sound the alarm.

Having said that, they could have at least tried to keep the guy high up on the unique scale. I suppose it may save a bit of time, but slapping Masato's haircut onto yet another character is pretty lame. :P

Couldn't agree more, Max's hair has been seen too many times, they could've made Hamilton's spiky or long or something like that!
