Official R/S/E Recent Happenings Thread - Fresh Edition

Just started a new file on Emerald. I took Torchic as my starter. Which is Lv8 now and caught a Zigzagoon for Pick-up (oh such a lovely ability). Training it to Lv6 before heading west of Oldale town. I'll be making sure I catch a Ralts there. Early catch targets: Ralts, Taillow, Shroomish. This is just the beginning of an Epic Journey!

After I looked for Volbeat for about an hour, I gave up and challenged Wattson. Nuzleaf was up first against Voltorb, who blew up in my face. Lombre was next against Electrike, no trouble from him. Shroomish was against Magneton, Leech Seed to soften it up. Stun Spore, and a few Headbutts/Mega Drains later, and he was gone. Manectric was last, and Shroomish softened it up with Stun Spore and Leech Seed, switched to Grovyle. Screech'd while he Howl'd, got him to red, and he KO'd Grovyle. Shroomish came in and finished him off, Shroomish evolved. Healed, visited Wally, got HM Strength, went to Dewford and caught a Nosepass. Went north to Lavaridge, caught Spinda, Numel, Torkoal, Grimer, Koffing, Sandshrew, and Skarmory on the way. Level grinded the team in Fiery Path to lvl 27. Challenged Flannery, but lost miserably. Level grinded to lvl 29/30, and failed a few times. Gloom against Slugma, Sleep Powder + 2HKO Razor Leaf. Same with Numel. Nuzleaf Fake Out'd Camerupt, and hit twice with Nature Power. Camerupt KO's, Gloom Poisoned it, Breloom Leech Seed'd it. Just wore it down with Razor Leaf. Torkoal was last, Gloom Poison'd it, Breloom Leech Seed'd it, and wore it down with Headbutt and Mach Punch. Currently in the desert looking for a Cacnea♀ with a good nature to breed, and about to pick up the Lileep fossil. I dropped Nuzleaf for Cacnea, but who should I drop for Lileep?

Just found out that Ditto is actually common in the Desert Underpass.

How do you get to it. I'm on Route 114 and I can't find it anywhere. Please Help!

Desert Underpass is only for Emerald. It is in the back of the Fossil Maniac's House, but only is open after you beat the E4 in Emerald.

currently training a trapinch so it isn't worthless. why does this poke have only dark attack moves???? it is only at level 23 this is going to take a while to make it useful.

I know the quality is crappy, but it's a shiny Baltoy! I was able to snag it in a Timer Ball. The luckiest part about this capture is the fact that it has Selfdestruct, and it didn't even use it in battle. *_* Needless to say, I'll definitely be more prepared for next time.

I'm training it right now so that it may evolve. I'm so happy I got a shiny Baltoy, even though I wanted Cacnea most; this is my first "random" shiny that I purposefully hunted for, so that's okay with me! I will random encounter for Jigglypuff and Tailow/Swellow on Route 115 next.

I was choosing from either a random Wurmple evolution or a Linoone to fill my last slot, and I went with the Wurmple evolution. I caught a Wurmple in Petalburg Woods and let it evolve randomly. I got a Beautifly, which is what I had wanted.

I also decided to nix the Absol and Chinchou babies and just wait until I caught them in the wild. The boosted exp. points were making them disobey me.

Despite having only two Pokemon, I still managed to underlevel them. ._. I think they're both in level 20, and I saved at Slateport City. I managed to beat the first two gym leaders by letting Combusken and Beautifly faint, switching to a random Zigzagoon, using one of the many Revives they picked up, letting the random Zigzagoon die, and switching back to the revived Combusken/Beautifly. :P Nice strategy, I think.

So i finished my Shiny Smoochum Solo Run on Crystal and decided to pick up ruby again.

Finally beat all the gyms and caught groundon but now have decided to get the 3 Regi's for the first time lol.

Okay, so I decided to pick up my Saphire Version again, and I've decided to do a Solo run using Treecko (and it's evolutions). So far, I've picked up Trecko, defeated May, and started torwards the city where Dad's gym is (don't remeber the name). She (treecko), is at level 10, knowing the basic level up moves. I may trade over a few TM's like EQ to help out w/ later gyms, but it should be a fun challenge. I'm also planning on getting a shiny Kyogre while I'm going through. Wish me luck.

I just restarted my Ruby today, and chose Mudkip as my starter. Trained her to level 7 and easily defeated May. Making my way past Oldale, the first pokemon I ran into was a Ralts. Caught her with a pokeball, and ran into a Zigzagoon right after. Also caught her with a pokeball and battled my way to Petalburg City. In the next route, I found a Taillow and accidentally killed it with Mudkip, who was level 10 at the time. I switched Ralts to the front and found another Taillow, this time catching it. Now I'm in Petalburg Woods, my team is:

Amelia - Level 10

Rosie - Level 10

Anabelle - Level 11

Kristal - level 12

Should I catch any Pokemon while in Petalburg Woods? I was thinking about Shroomish or Silcoon, but I'm not sure I need them yet...

Quick update on my Sceptile solo run. I've finally beaten Roxanne (I had to evolve due to alot of critical hits). I delivered Steven his letter, and defeated Brawly (or whatever it is). I made quick work out of Team Aqua in Slateport, and I'm just about to face Watson. Grovyle is level 32, and knows Leafblade, Absorb, Pursuit, and Quick Attack.

Fairly nice team, anyway....

First, he sends out Wailord, which Magneton defeats with 2 thunderbolts, then Whiscash, which defeats Magneton, Hariyama then makes quick work of it and Tentacruel.
He sends out Ludicolo, I send out Heracross which makes quick work of it, Swampert defeats Gyarados after several ice punches and after 3 Calm minds and 2 Psychics Gardevoir defeats Milotic making me the new champion!

A few days ago I restarted the game, and I *just* defeated Norman and I have to go to the weather center to pwn Team Aqua once again. So I surf from Mauville to route 119, and I get the god rod and decide to fish for a Sharpedo to name Harribel. XD

So I fish in some places for a few minutes and find magikarp/tentacools, and I surf to a random sport and WHAT DO YOU THINK I FIND.

A Feebas . I was like 'OMG.' xD I cought 3 males and named them all Yumichika. 2 out of the 3 have natures that like dry pokeblocks too. XD

I'm running all over the region looking for Wiki berries/etc. because my internal battery ran dry about a year ago and I don't have a link cable. >.>

I also completely forgot...idt you can find Sharpedo with a good rod. XD
