Ah, seasonal update!

Well, having been doing some training and capturing and evolving, my team and reserves look like this:

NR: Utterly random and yet befitting.

As things went, Misty was a piece of cake and became my wife hastily, what with Ivysaur's dominance by sleeping Starmie after taking a Swift, seeding and whipping her *** into shape.

I now train outside the SS Anne, seeking a Drowzee.

I finally managed to get 260 Pokemon in my national dex. I'll probably continue to do some major trading between my Fire Red, Sapphire and Colosseum in order to get some more Hoemn Pokemon into my game.

Besides doing that, I'll probably capture a Horsea, which I will then EV train, so that I can have a Kingdra for a team that I'm compiling.

Completed Rock Tunnel, evolving Paras and Zubat. I am happy about this because I was afraid they would both become box-bound but they have actually proved to be very usefull. Parasect & Golbat <3

I'm STILL working on trying to get my pokemon leveled enough that I can take on the Elite Four for the first time. It seemed to be much easier in Red/Blue/Yellow.

Ok so I'm 3 hours of game play in with this team:

Have got the boulderbadge, thanks to Hitokage knowing Metal Claw, and am lvling Arbo so he can be of some use With Misty, seeing as Hitokage is gonna struggle!

Trained that Bulbasaur to the point were he evolved into an Ivysaur then battled Gary with it and my awesome Fearow.

Then battled Misty for her badge and schooled her with just my Fearow. And then went on to save my game and finish playing for now.

I caught a shiny Weedle.

Yes, Beedrill isn't the best Pokémon ever, but with TMs, it should rocks. Plus it looks awesome.

I'll teach him those moves:

I went to Brock after training my team, I accidently pressed B while Charmander was evolving >_>

So I kept using Metal Claw, but...

Charmander got Two- hit KOed by Onix's Rock Tomb x_x

I sent out my Shiny Beedrill and used Poison Sting. Onix got poisoned ^_^

Then I kept using Fury Attack (Even if not very effective) and eventually, Onix died.

Who said Beedrill wasn't strong?

I'm having the hardest time trying to get a female Bulbasaur to Pal-Park into Diamond. At this rate, I'll probably get a shiny or two before I get a female. Once I get the female Bulbasaur, I'll start a new adventure with a female Squirtle.

I've already got my first 2 badges and I'm currently at the top of Nugget bridge. I think it's gonna be a while before I get my hands on my slowpoke Yadodo as I have to get a fishing rod of some description. I don't think Lt. Surge will be too much hassle as my pokies will be pushing Lv.30 by then and GoroGoro will dominate his pokies with magnitude. I bloomin' love my team ^ ^

After mullering Surge, thank you GoroGoro ^ ^, I made my way to the infamous Rock Tunnel, BUM BUM BUUUM! It took me an hour...A WHOLE FREAKIN' HOUR to get through this hell hole of a cave! Without flash I knew it was going to be tough, but using the age old method of sticking to the wall and hoping for the best I made it through...I'm currently in the spooky center of Kanto, Lavender Town!

Time for a team update, I caught myself a lovely Female Vulpix on Rout 8 so here's how my little band is shaping up:

So, my first scramble challenge here on this forum. The team you forumers have graciously gave me consists of:

1. Beedrill (Bug/Poison)
2. Vileplume (Grass/Poison)
3. Weezing (Poison)
4. Butterfree (Bug/Flying)
5. Haunter (Ghost/Poison)
6. Hitmonchan (Fighting)

Yes, this team will have a tough time against Psychic and Fire trainers, but after reviewing it, I can probably manage. I don't think I've ever seriously had any of these in my team, except for Butterfree and Haunter, so this should be a fun challenge!

And so I started my game...

I picked squirtle as a starter, considering he learns a nice amount of HMs like Strenght and Surf. I went ahead and captured a Weedle (Fury) and a Caterpie (Groovy).

Currently trained both Fury and Groovy up to lvl 10, evolving them to their final form. They'll be on their own for a long time. I'll train them up some more before facing my rival and Brock.

Just training my team against the Elite Four. I beat Lorelei thanks to Raichu and Butterfree. I beat Bruno, thanks to Vileplume, Vaporeon, Charizard, and Hitmonchan. I'm currently facing Agatha and had my Raichu and Hitmonchan beat her Gengar. Now my Charizard beat her Golbat and her Arbok. But against her 2nd Gengar, I couldn't win. So, I have to restart facing the Elite Four again. My team though is currently:

So, I made some progress.

I trained Fury and Groovy up to 12 and 13, respectively before tackling my rival. My greatest fear (Pidgey) forgot to use its gust, so the battle was as easy as a slice of lemon pie.

Brock was soon slain as well, considering we all know confusion>rock by now. I had to reload once, 'cause Onix didn't take kindly to being paralysed and rock-smashed Groovy into the ground.

I made the long trek trough Mt. Moon, leading with Groovy and switching to Fury when it saw a chance for an easy kill. Man, its early move pool sucks, fury attack? Poison sting? It took me ages trying to take down even simple foes.

Eventually I jumped the Ledge of No Return and found myself beating the hell out of Nooblar again. One sleep powder was all it took to take Pidgeotto down, the rest was a cake walk.

I captured an Oddish and named it Weedy, it was lvl 13 when captured. I took her straight to the gym and she laughed and laughed her jolly laugh, destroying both trainers. She took on Misty at the early lvl of 16. I switched out halfway during the fight against Starmie, 'cause she was taking a massive beating. Fury finished it easily due to his newly learned twin needle.

Only now have I noticed that Weedy's nature is Jolly (+SP, -SpA), so I might capture another for a better nature, -SpA hurts.

So another update!

Having decided that my team is Psychic-weak, I opted for something that sucks up those moves like a pig and snagged myself a Drowzee. Having raged at unfair hax by Surge's Raichu (DT must be banned...), I eventually owned him and have reached Celadon, where my LEET GAMBOLING SKEELZ have led me to get this lovely Ice Beam TM as well as 1100 coins. My team?

Since King Prong wouldn't learn anything better, I taught him Brick Break and evolved him to Nidoking, and Insanenape is now a Primeape, while Probos the Hypno is doing well.

Red was a pain in the arse due to Gyarados opening with Thrash and thoroughly raping my generic pair of pokes, but he fell easily and I used Pokemon Tower to nuke Muku? from 22 to 27, all the while ignoring the Missingno.

Now I'm level 28, and hunting moar TMs before heading to the monkey lair.

Final update for today, maybe even the entire weekend.

After defeating Misty I decided to get a new Oddish, one with a decent nature. I settled on a quiet female.

Trained and battled my way to Vermilion City, boarded the SS Anne and systematically defeated every trainer on the ship. Had my first encounter with fire pokemon, they weren't so bad, especially after I taught Fury his new move: brick break. This move alone caused an insane rise in Fury's usefulness.

I defeated Lt. Surge, using only Weedy, except against the Magnemites (brick break!). My battle strategy: sleep powder + acid.

Seriously, 2 pokes on the same team with sleep powder = massacre. Adding a Haunter later on won't help either... I'll be removing sleep powder from Weedy, 'cause it's way too cheap.

I'm restarting FR for the first time so I can do a scramble challenge. My final team is supposed to be Blastoise, Exeggutor, Omastar, Arcanine, and Primeape. The sixth pokemon is pending at the moment.

Currently I'm in Viridian City. I nicknamed my Squirtle "Tsunami", and I'm heading to Viridian Forest next. He's currently at level 9.

Leaf Green: Still trying to get a female Bulbasaur to Park-Park to Diamond. The thing will just not show up. I have to be around 250 SR. At this rate, I'll get a shiny before I get a female.

EDIT: After abou the 255th reset, I finally got a female one. Caught 6 other pokemon and Pal-Parked 5 of them along with my female Bulbasaur. Now I'm am going to soft-reset for a female Squirtle and try to beat the game again.
