    Default Shedinja or Ninjask?

Which do you prefer for competitive or just going through the game?

    They are two different pokemon.

I used Ninjask as speed and Swords Dance passer. He did good
And Shedinja. It is a good pokemon but has a lot weaknesses(8 i think). Most pokemon can learn Aerial Ace.
And Shedinja is weak against weather problems. (Sandstorm, Hail). Also status conditions kill Shedinja in one shot
But playing with Shedinja is fun

I like Ninjask more. If you have spikes out its a ohko for Shedinja. Pluse Ninjask looks cool lol.

Shedinja is definitely better, if you know how to use it properly. Ninjask I found has fantastic stats, but its learnset is horrible, and its ability is useless--pretty much just raising the ridiculously high speed stat it already has. Same goes for Sword Dance, and the only other real use for it is raising all those stats and then Baton Passing to carry them over to someone else. Personally, if I'm using a Pokémon in battle, I like to stay with that Pokémon until it faints unless it has a distinct type disadvantage. How else is it going to gain experience?

Shedinja, though, is great. Once you know how to use it right, it's practically invincible. You would be surprised just how many Pokémon don't know any Rock, Flying, Fire, Ghost, or Dark type moves (that adds up to five weaknesses, by the way, not eight). And once you know which Pokémon do know those moves, they're easy to avoid. Status conditions aren't really an issue, because only two of them actually harm Shedinja and they don't tend to come up that often anyway. If you think about it, the only way to inflict a status condition on it is to use a purely status changing move, like Stun Spore or Poison Powder (or, say, Will-O-Wisp, if you want a Burn example), because moves that cause damage and have status changes as a side effect won't harm Shedinja at all. (Oh, and Leech Seed, which is a pain, but again, doesn't come up that often.)

As for the weather conditions--which in my opinion shouldn't actually harm Shedinja at all, but that's beside the point--well, don't use Shedinja during those conditions. Simple. The only time it's really a problem is in the desert, and the very occasional times a foe uses Sandstorm or Hail.

The biggest problem I had with Shedinja was whenever someone used Confuse Ray or Supersonic on it. I'd have to say that's the only time I really considered for a brief moment ditching Shedinja because just it wouldn't stop knocking itself out. But its Attack stat is off the charts, and its Speed is above average, so there's really no danger of it being harmed by a low level Pokémon even though it only has 1 HP. Just take out the foe before it can take out you.

So many people will try to raise a Shedinja and give up on it almost immediately after it gets KO'd because the Trainer didn't know how to use it properly. I've had mine for the entire game in Emerald and it's been absolutely fantastic. Saved my *** more times than I can count. Don't get frustrated with it because of its quirks--just learn how to use them to your advantage.

(And as a side note--I actually think it looks much cooler than Ninjask. :3)

Shedinja when battling Tucker with his Gold team, otherwise Ninjask.

Ninjask has awesome speed but a terrible moveset.

But Shedninja can be killed by hail or sandstorms.

    I think Ninjask is better.

Well, as I said...the only time that's really a problem is in the desert. So don't use Shedinja then, that's all. Or when a Pokémon uses Sandstorm or Hail, but that's pretty rare. So really, weather conditions aren't much of a factor.

I am currently using Shedinja in Ruby because of a Scramble Challenge. Shedinja is hard to play with, even though Shedinja has Wonder Guard, but has a lot of weaknesses and gets killed by Weather Statuses.

I haven't used Ninjask, hope to soon. Ninjask is one of the fastest Pokemon, maybe the fastest, I'm not sure, and can use Swords Dance.

I don't have a preference because I haven't used both yet. Hope to soon, as I am using Shedinja now!

Overall, Ninjask is more reliable, but it is fun to watch level 40 Tentacruel do nothing against my level 25 Ninjask.

Shedinja is way too risky to ever use. One hit from about five different possible types and there is no saving it. Ninjask is a lot easier to use and frankly safer.

But, in all honestly, neither of them are very good.

If I wanted a challenge, I generally went with Shedninja. If I wanted something to fall back on for pure support, Ninjask all the way.

Shedinja. Can destroy most Gyms, as their attacks aren 't Supereffective on them

Shedinja. Duh. It's rare ability, "Wonder Guard" allows it to be immune to all moves besides it's own weakness. Considering Ninjask is rated the 2nd fastest Pokemon on the Serebii B & W pokedex, you could still give a Shedinja Carbos.
So, Shedinja is the better pick

I tend to prefer Shedinja, if only for Wonder Guard.

I noticed a minute ago the Nincada line all have pretty great abilities, IMO.

Nincada has Compoundeyes, Ninjask has Speed Boost, and Shedinja has Wonder Guard.

I tend to lean more to Ninjask just because it has better capability for competitive, but I don't have too much of a preference between them both.

Shedinja is just so much more fun to use.
I love my cute little Machop!

Come on, you know Machop is cute! I mean, who couldn't love those endearing eyes? That adorable face? That loving embrace?

Just don't call it cuddly or else it will hurt you.
