Just like what other people have already said; Nostalgia. Also, iunno, I just found the 3rd generation to be the most enjoyable, I guess.

It's a far more fun generation than Generation four.

When i want to be reminded of my youth days and also the times when my big cousin used to be my inspiration in pokemon and always owned my sorry ass at every battle. I missed those days. That's why i play 3rd Gen.

It literally was the first generation I could call my own.

It was also the generation I completely messed up my Pokemon career. Three starters and three ubers... ow. Bad idea. I never got to fully enjoy Emerald.

Ever since then, it's been redemption.
I'm back. And ready for more battling.

I did not like the 3rd Gen. But maybe if they make a remake...

My reasons why RSE are my favorite of all time are...

    1. Nostalgia (Got my Ruby version first during my late childhood)
    2. Those Pokemon (Gardevoir, Milotic, and of cource, BLAZIKEN!)
    3. May, because of Anime! (She's the character I use on Ruby and Emerald versions unlike as a Late child-teenager)
    4. The main Region (Sure, it has a lot of water routes, but the fact that Surf's speed is faster makes up for it, and so does Underwater Routes)
    5. Soundtrack. I could listen to it every day
    6. Best HMs out of all
    7. Trainer Rematches (except in Emerald, which you have to call the trainers in order to rematch)
    8. Good storyline.
    9. Introduction to Abilities.
    10. Double Battle! YEAH!

One of the main reasons is the legends of the legendary pokemon... Hoenn legends are still the best

Actually, one self-made RPG adventure I never finished. I was supposed to become an insane Fire-type trainer in Ruby. Blaziken, Camerupt, Torkoal, Magcargo, Ninetales and Flygon. I never beat Wallace. I came so freaking close! The most epic wars I've ever waged in Pokémon games! That Milotic is one heck of a tough opponent...

    Hoenn. Love that region.

I keep playing it because IMO it has the Best Battle Frontier plus new Pokemon to catch and other things to do.

Because Pokemon Ruby was the first game I ever bought with my own money, back in Jan 2004. The games hold so many memories for me now. Hoenn's undoubtedly my favourite region.

just the fact that you can dump your important pokemon in another game then start a new game over and over and never be bored because of all the choices you cna make with teams and movesets.
    My teams:

    Red:

    Crystal:

    Fire Red:

    Leaf Green:

    Emerald:

    Soul Silver:

    White:

    Legit shinies:
x2 x2 I lost Umbreon and my second suicune though after my Diamond crashed for some reason.

And if you are not bored already,
    My preferred mystery dungeon team:

I could put 4 in but 4 pokemon can be annoying for many reasons.

    This.

Also, Hoenn was great about having tons of sidequests and little things that are always fresh no matter how many times you do them. The plot was and is always fun to run through no matter how well you know it or how many times you've done it.

I play it now to get ready to trade with my Leafgreen, transfer to Diamond, and eventually transfer to Black.

    It's mostly for Pokedex completion.
    P: TBS Episode 15 - Reunited
Daisy: "Hi Misty! Like, we were wondering... Like, we're out of badges, so how do we get more?"
Misty: "We get, like, 100 a month! How could you be out?!"
    Daisy: "I don't know! It's sooo weird!"
    *knock knock knock*
    Delivery guy: "Pizza delivery!"
Daisy: "Oh, you're sooo nice! Here, take this badge!"
    Misty: "YOU CANNOT DO THAT!!!"
