The Official G/S/C SHINY Thread

Today, after seven years, I finally encountered my first ever random 2nd gen shiny; a shiny Ursaring. ^_^

My first Shiny was caught on G/S/C

Sliver in fact, it was a Pink Mareep. I'll never forget it, as shiny ampharos was my favourite shiny ever. It's a shame my brother started it again...

I had a shiny Poliwag and a shiny Suicune in Crystal. Poliwag was my first ever shiny(Gyarados doesn't count). I was fishing in Ecruteak, to look for a Poliwag for my team. It was the first Pokemon I found on the line. Luckily I knew what shinies were after catching the shiny Gyarados in Gold, so I wasted no time catching it.

Shiny Suicune was an awesome find. I think I had around 5-10 resets(because I kept fainting it by mistake ), when I noticed the Suicune wasn't like the other ones. When the sparkles flew around it I was amazed. Unfortunately, when I turned on the game one day, my save file was corrupted so I lost both of them.

I found a shiny Pidgey and Rattata, right after another, but I didn't know what they were, so I killed them. Because I found two pokemon with sparkles, I thought my game was glitched, but then, after looking it up, I had my brother Falcon PUnch me. But I was smart enough to catch the red gyrados. :P

In Silver I got a Red Gyarados! lol

The only other shinies I got officially were from my friends in the advanced games.

It's funny because there's this Espeon in FR/LG Battle Tower that's always there even if I reset the game.

I have gotten a lot of shinies from the day care man in pokemon crystal.I have gotten shiny elekid,magby,cleffa,tyrogue and Igglybuff.I have found shiny skarmory,spinarak,sentret and zubat.

ok well i remember about 4 years ago i was playing Crystal and i remembered to get the egg from the daycare man late, so i go back to get it and the pokemon that came out was a shiny Magby, sadly i thought my game was broken and turned it off. than a couple days ago i was playing it and the egg was a shiny magby again. yay! This time i had known not to turn off.
i thought it was pretty funny looking back...

Hmm...On my first Gold I caught the Gyarados, but everyone has that one.

On my Crystal (which I have sadly lost), I had the Gyarados of course, and while randomly running around the Forest after Azelea and before GoldenRod, I found a Shiny Caterpie. I knew what shinies were, and caught it. The very next day, I ran into a Shiny Magnemite. I caught it too and those three shinies ended up being my lvl 30 Battle Tower Team. Not a good team, but they were shiny.

As for my current Silver (which works fine) I have the retarded Gyarados, which only knows Mimic and Leer (can anyone guess what Glitch I tried?) I only have one transfer pak, and my retarded Silver won't let me move the Shiny Ditto to the game cartridge (some bullcrap of having to catch 150 types...Pokemon Stadium 2 is weird.)

I'm hoping (as soon as I can move my all Kanto team from Silver to Red) to Restart Silver and SR for a shiny Cyndaquil.

I only ever got one shiny in my Silver, and it was a Donphan which I caught at Mt. Silver Lv33. RIP.

I caught myself a shiny Slowpoke! And I then evolved into a shiny Slowking!

Currently I'm soft resetting in Silver trying to get a shiny Lugia. It's been for 3 days now and nothing so far =( I'm kinda giving up.

The only shiny from G/S/C I ever caught or ran into, besides Gyrados was a shiny Sandshrew in Union cave.

One time I was six and I was playing crystal. Then while I was hatching an egg, a shiny Snubble appears! too bad I had no idea what shinies were, so I killed it>.< and I always killed the red gyarados (its like a tradition, a bad tradition):

I am very excited, during the bug catching challenge I came upon a shiny Scyther, even though I only did get 2nd place in the contest, I ended up with my first shiny in my Gold Game, yea I did pass up the chance to get the lake of rage Gyarados.

The only other shiny I got besides the Gyrados was a shiny Bellsprout on that patch of grass surrounded by water.(Right of Mahogany Town) I couldn't catch it because I didn't have any pokeballs with me. :/

i was wondering if i had any shiny pokemon left in my pc, after my cousin stole my shiny Ursaring, so i looked through and found a red Gyarados that i caught on another game

so i have put it in the day care for now, and if i am lucky maybe a shiny Magikarp awaits me
