That's what character development is for xD I think if Shinji starts slowly but surely opening up to Hikari...As time goes by we the audience will see how he is changing and finally it won't be a shock if he realizes he loves her...of course, Pokemon isn't strong on character development so that's probably why main characters don't find love too often if at all.

Depends. If it's hidden affections, like maybe admiring her from afar or something, I don't think it would be that OOC. However, if they had him openly showing his affection for Dawn (can't really think of an example of him being openly affectionate, atm...), especially in front of Ash or Brock (something I don't think he would do), then there would need to be a LOT of shipping development. Just like a story or fanfc, if you're gonna make a character OOC, at least make it believable in the plotline. ;D

Well it depends on the way it's done. I don't think he would go as far as "showing" his feelings. I think he would talk to her more, open up (as he did in DP186) or listen to what she says. Not ignoring her would be the best non OOC way to show that he kinda cares about her in the anime x3


What if Dawn and Paul came back together for one or two episodes in Best Wishes? What kind of interactions, moments, etc. would they have together?

I can't help dreaming that they would travel together for some reason when they meet up with Ash&co again :'D
Ash would be like "What are two doing together ? o_O" And Dawn would sheepishly answer "We kindof stumbled accross each other and are traveling together for a while ^^" "
Wouldn't that be so cool? XDD
Paul would be back to his old self, embarassed by his "confession" about his grudge against Ash and Dawn would try to make him open up again :3



About the Awards

I got an email from youtube saying that they'd restore my account in 14 days so the question is : should I wait or upload the Awards now ?
I'd rather wait because it'd be easier to spread the word about the Awards with my old account since I had a lot more friends and mostly ikarishippers. Very few people know that I'm on my back-up and I'm afraid it'll be a fail, since nothing will be possible without people voting =x
I really want these Awards to gather as many ikarishippers as possible so yeah ^^"

I'm in the same boat! I don't have Vegas either (nor do I have money to buy it) but I'm trying out VideoStudio Pro X3 (not a emoticon, part of the name). I'm doing the free trial right now. It's really great and only 60 US dollars ^^ I'm probably going to get it. There's a lot of other cool stuf out there that's not as expensive as Vegas. Just put "Video editing software" in google or yahoo! search and you'll get plenty of results.

He opened up to her didn't he? That's a start right there. Maybe if he kept them hidden instead of making a big deal about it, he could slowly develop romantic feelings for her. Paul seems like the kind of guy who keeps a lot of secrets. Maybe those secrets will leak out... that'd make a good fanfiction! Ooh! Idea!

I have a story that made me think of ikari! Except the girl was the harsh one. This actually happened too.
I don't want to use real names, so for the sake of secrecy, let's call the two "Sally" and "Bob."

On Friday night at my school's first football game, "Bob" asked "Sally" to go with him to the homecoming dance (aww!). Sally just looked at him and said "Who are you?" and walked off. Needless to say, Bob didn't get a date. Now I don't go to a big school. My whole class is like 45 people.
This just made me think of Ikarishipping with the whole "who are you?" thing.

The story sorta does remind me of IkariShipping because it takes me back to the episode where Hikari tried to stop Satoshi and Shinji from arguing, but Shinji asked, "Who are you?" Hikari EXPLODED! xDD

Shinji appeared in the recent episode! ^////^ Although it was just like 10 seconds, he appeared anyways. He appeared, oh my gosh! xDD But unfortunately, there weren't any IkariShipping moments. T^T

Dawn would be her peppy, perky self and probably try to strike up a conversation. After failing, she'll strike up and argument and it'll be just like the Oreburgh Gym except there'll be nobody to hole Dawn back. Then she'll silp up and say something like "I can't belive I have a crush on you!" and then Paul find out and then they live happily ever after. ^^ The last part is purely fantasy, but an Ikarishipper can dream, can't she? XD

I've been reading over the Ikarishipping page on Bulbapedia to get a little caught up. Because, yes, I always jump aboard ships WAY LATE. XD

They seem like they have the kind of dynamic I could write for. And I'd like to do some Pokemon fanfiction aside from my Slayers stuff. I initially wanted to do Pokeshipping, but I'm a little too far gone on it. My main problem now is that I haven't seen much of Paul since I started watching the anime again. If I get more comfortable with these two and get an idea I might try something out.

Some people are simply never 'lovey dovey'. Yeah, sure, I know some people can go completely (and nauseatingly) sweet around the few people they care about. But it's like one of my favorite Lemony Snicket quotes goes: "Love can change a person the way a parent can change a baby-- awkwardly, and often with a great deal of mess." Change don't come easy. Feelings are more likely to come out in secondary ways.
