Well, this is my first attempt at a song fic...

The calm waters of Cerulean City were shining under the full moon placed in the sky. But the gym leader Misty Waterflower, didn't notice. Something was troubling her. A someone was bothering her, and not in a teasing way.
14 year-old Ash Ketchum who lived in Pallet Town was on her mind. She was sick of rejecting she liked him, even though she did, but she was too afraid of rejection. She sighed, and walked over to a window, showing the full moon in the sky.

"Ash is looking at this..." Misty muttered to herself, about the full moon.

Meanwhile, in Sinnoh, the cold air and the snow on the route to Snowpoint city and Ash's next badge was making him shiver. It was even worse that he had to lay onto the snow, making his clothes soggy, and causing him to shiver a whole lot more. Ash sighed, and gazed into the sky. The full moon shone into his eyes.

"Snowpoint city isn't that far..." Ash said to himself. But then the words of an old song from a movie came into his head. He remembered seeing this with Misty when he was home. Misty also had these words in her head. Then, they started to sing the song in their heads.

Misty: Everytime I think I'm closer to the heart
Of what it means to know just who I am
I think I've finally found a better place to start
But no one ever seems to understand

Then, Misty sighed. She remembered that as long as she was in charge of the gym, she couldn't go back to travel with Ash. She sighed, and walked away from the moon, now shining an image of Ash's face in her head.

Ash sighed from 5000 miles away, in Sinnoh, and realized to himself that he wasn't cold while he was thinking of her. He turned to his side, away from the moonlight, with the image of Misty's face, smiling, in his head.

They both fell asleep. They both knew this would be another dream for another day.

I think it's very sweet. I like the choice of lyrics and the theme.

I like the ending for this, it's pretty sweet. Did you write the lyrics? Or are they from an another artist? I would say that there should be more desciptions around the lyrics and show why Misty likes the song and why it makes her think of Ash.

Well, this song is from Camp Rock! X_X

Anyways, I thought the song fit Pokeshipping, because Misty is kind of yearning to find Ash. But her responsibilities are holding her back.
