According to Lucario at Service she does.

Well here is the proof of Dawn winning the contest (for those won didn't know),

Since i have not seen the episode till now i can't correctly say how Dawn won but from what i get from the pics it seems she wins by points (though i am not sure about it).

Yuri looks like the first really good coordinator of Sinnoh. I'm really happy they went back to the 1-shot rivals finally, they're the best characters.

So Dawn won a ribbon with a pokemon who wasn't Piplup, eh? Fascinating

It was an enjoyable battle but some things bothered me. When Amipom knocks Delcatty to the ground, Delcatty almost lost half its points, (brings back memories of Skitty depleting half of Dusclops points in the same manner), and then toward the end Dawn had way less points than Yuri, but that last Swift attack managed to take out all the rest of Yuri's points?

I realize complaining about the point meter is useless since most Contests are like this, but with Ambipom taking so much damage and Delcatty only getting hit a few times, its rather hard to believe.

As for Dawn's Contests, I still think Piplup Vs. Glaceon was her best win of them all.

I felt the same. The writers maybe could make the point meter make a LITTLE more plausible. Ambidiffel was either asleep or stunned because of attract for a few minutes during the battle but she didn´t loose much points out of it. at least in comparssion to Yuri´s point loss when Ambidiffel countered her Enekoro. but...meh...that´s a problem that should be minor I think..it still bothers me.

After finally watching Wall-e this weekend ( damn you, Disney...why did Germany have to wait for SO long?!) I was kinda spoiled by its awesomeness so that this contest felt kinda lackluster right after watching robots in space...but having rewatched the episode again today I really enjoyed it. of course I m too late to bring anything new to the table...but...damn, Yuri was a nice character, Jessie and Megayanma are awesome, Brock and Ash should always wear clothes like in the end and Ambidiffel is the epitome of cuteness.

Oh, yeah...I really liked how substitute was shown in the anime. Reminded me of some early DragonBall battles ( when everything was cool and Son Goku was still 15). I hope somebody of the main characters teaches this attack to one of their pokemon. I think it is a perfect move for Ambi.

Yeah, but as said, the point bar has always been skewed toward the main characters. I realize the battle was rushed because it was only a 1 ep Contest, and this tended to be a problem in a few of May's like the Skitty Vs. Dusclops one and the Brock Contest, where the point bar was terrible and ruined those battles.

Anyway it was still a good episode. This is why people like 1-shot rivals, they're entertaining. Let's see less of Zoey and more one-shot coordinators like this.

There was nothing wrong with the point bar.

Comparing to the giant diamond Swift and Cute Charm and Sing that Yuri did, I don't see why there is any problems with the point bar. Yuri's strategy mostly depends on not being actually hit by the Pokemon. Well with that amazing swift countering substitute has got to impress the judges very much considering Yuri's strategy.

I don't remember any complaining about the point bar when Ash use Ice Aqua Jet on Kyle's Lanturn) and how Kyle lost even more points than Yuri did). It basically has the same kind of appeal.

Think really hard, before negative repping or making a big deal about my posts. I don't appreciate being negative repped for reasons that are a result of misinterpreting my posts.

Ifd there's anything vital I learned from this episode, it's that Cherrim's eyes are located on its asscheeks in its eggplant form.

    ...What?

See how merely introducing a character that hasn't been recycled from previous contests can really spice up the freshness? It's been a year-and-a-half since we first met Kenny, and since then, we've gotten nothing outside of Kaito, who hardly even counts.

Swinub has a pom-pom pinned to its forehead. It needs to be a little lower so I don't actually have to see its face.

Loved Jessie not only copying Fantina's outfit, but even going as far as to mimic her English outbursts (again, should be interesting to see dubbed). I have no idea why Yanmega entertains me so, as if you think about it, it really isn't any more vibrant than Dustox ever was. It just does.

In spite of the fact that this whole thing was crammed into merely one part, this actually may be my favorite contest in DP thus far. My only beef was seeing another damn ice appeal, as even though this had a slight twist to it, Wakana's Surskit did a similar thing.

On the technical front, contests are always CG lovefests, but Natsume did some great work with lighting and expressions (especially Ambipom's face, which was emoted very well during the battle). I'd like to see him tackle more contests in the future. Also, as far as I'm concerned, this is the anime's debut for one of Movie 10's many Oracion mixes.
Thank you for all the fantastic times, Serebii Forums!

I'm dying to know, what was Yanmega's first contest like? Also, what is the save Dawn did? Can't wait for the episode pics.

Do you mean like a giant one basically? Because Ambipom did that with the Solaceon Contest.

Yanmega's first contest was kinda weird.

Buneary was skating on ice with her Dizzy Punch ( I assume since her ears were glowing) and she kinda slipped and started flipping around kinda crazy. Before she could fall Dawn caught the bunny and everything appeared natural.

The Solaceon one was big but in this episode the Swift was kinda humongous.

If I remember right, this Swift actually resembled a diamond formation. And yeah, this one's huge, even dwarfing out the one at Solaceon.

    This episode was awesome.
I liked the parallel between Dawn's battle with Yuri and her moms, with Delcatty using the same moves and stuff.
    Buneary's appeal was pretty nice
Ambipom really stepped up and showed its stuff, which is great, because it needed a big victory.
Jessie disguised as Jessilina cosplaying as Fantina was great.

overall a great episode, also Buneary's first appeal and Ambipom's first contest battle under Dawn's command

Judging from the synopsis above I'm guessing Yuri's Delcatty is a male.

What was the song that played during the Yanmega appeal anyway?

It sounds like something from a Pichu short or something, but does anyone know exactly? I really liked it.
