Just to play Devil's advocate:

Is it at all possible that said Shaymin could have been caught from a glitch that allowed passage to the Flower Paradise? I mean, I'm not up to date with all the glitch talk or whether there was one in the US version similar to that in the Japanese one but it's possible, yes?

Yes it is possible with :-) But other then that it is not allowed to be used nor plat moves and pokes.

There is nothing about not using Plat moves in the Standard Rules thread. Many people have imported the game, and Competitive RMT people constantly are suggesting movesets that involve Plat move tutors for Wi-Fi teams.

Maybe there is a disconnect between the RMT and the Battle forum.

This has already been discussed in the thread he provided a link for lol and of course there's a rift between DP battles and the RMT section on Serebii as no one from there comes here.

Platinum moves are not banned. As for Shaymin being used in battle, I'd think it's not allowed since it isn't allowed to be traded at all. I'll get back to this thread on that.

You're allowed to trade Shaymin; afterall, that's how I got my Movie Shaymin. I think you've gotten confused between WiFi and GTS trading ^^

I think Raichufan was talking about how long it took him to get the Pokes without hacking :\

But, to be fair, I have more than 4 shinies. If I put them in a single team do I suddenly become a hacker? Understandable if there's proof that the IVs were off the charts but, if you look at PWG's tourney, you could obtain about the same amount of shinies by winning that Raichu had. Conclusion: It wouldn't be fair to blacklist someone because they had shinies.

Agreed. Having "4 shinys with creative nicknames" means nothing, especially with the advent of GTS and Wi-Fi trading, chaining, and soft resetting. We had a League that only allowed shiny Pokemon in. Should we blacklist anyone who participated in it?

And it's pretty clear to me that raichufan denies hacking. So it looks like the accuser

He claims he did not cheat when i used 4 dragon dances with my dragonite already w/ max attk and used fire punch on his skarmory it did less than half and i have used serebii and marriland's damage calculators to check if i was right b 4 i accused anyone and i was right and he brought ourt dusknoir and it survived my Frosslass's choice specd dark pulse IT only DID %) DAMAGE IMPOSSIBLE!

Once I caught and Ev trained m mesprite, yet I caught it in a master ball ( no hacking )
this was because I caught my dialga with a pokeball! no lie. So that may of been what he did :/ except with shaymin
