    ... so yeah =/
    WHAT?!?!
    That Would explain it!...
One question, does that mean When the battle tower people use Double Team It's a even lower chance of hitting than normal? Oww...

Also, does Palmer only apper in single battle?

I'll be back with my team later...

I haven't played Diamond in awhile but I can remember what I've done in the Battle Tower.

My team that got me the farthest was...
    -Charizard
    -Lucario
    -Froslass
And my highest streak was 60 wins...yes I survived both of Palmer's fights especially where he used Heatran, Cresselia, and Regigigas :]

Yea it is. If you want to see pics go to the BT ranking hall somewhere in there should be a link to my photobucket with pics
I'm planning on trying a new team in Platinums BT since there alot of new moves I can make really good use of, like sucker punch on Umbreon.

Well, I had a Gyrados and a Salamance in front of my party in double battle at the battle tower.
    Gyrados Male
    Item: Wide Lens
Move Set: Ice Fang, Stone Edge, Aqua Tail, and Earthquake
    Ability: Intimidate
    Salamance Female
    Item: Muscle Band
Move Set: Hydro Pump, Dragon claw, Earthquake, and Crunch
    Ability: Intimidate

The other two, I randomly use different pokemon for other purposes.

Having both a Gyrados and Salamance can be really useful. They both use intimidate to reduce the opponents Attack, not one but two. Whats more, they both know Earthquake, and I use them to annihilate the opponent. This makes them both the perfect powerhouse.

I made it through 43 Consecutive bouts. It was pretty much a cake walk, easy battle point picking.

For single Battles, I got pretty far with this team.
    Venasuar Female
    Ability: Overgrow
    Item: Black Sludge
Move Set: Sludge Bomb, Leech Seed, Giga Drain, and Earthquake.
I have Venasuar costumed to be constantly recovering, making it a good leech tank.
    Milotic Male
    Ability: Marvel Scale
    Item: Leftovers
Moveset: Hydro Pump, Surf, Dragon Pulse, and Ice Beam.
I could've have a Milotice that knows recover, refresh or mirror coat to replace surf, but I never got around to it. It would've been better.
    Salamance Female
    Ability: Intimidate
    Item: Muscle Band
Move set: Hydro Pump, Crunch, Dragon Claw, and Earthquake.
A perfect powerhouse, just like my Garchomp, Sceptile, Gyrados, Metagross, and Lucario.

I only made in through 42 consecutive bouts. It feels like my team isn't as strong as its supposed to be, because I keep encountering trainers that have pokemon that are stronger than normal, and coordinate their strategies pretty well, embarrassing of all, type disadvantage. Its pretty easy to win against Palmer (first fight) with this team.

I really like this team in the battle tower I came to the 118:th opponent but lost there but still its impresive. You may ask why i have swagger on my jolt and there is a simple answer to that. The opponent doesnt change their statused pokemons which makes swagger great in tuff situations. metagross explosion is also very handy because he often takes out 1 poke and can explode on the second or on a troublesome poke.

    Gyarados @ leftovers
    Adamant 216 HP / 16 Atk / 132 Def / 144 Spe

    -taunt
    -dragon dance
    -waterfall
    -Ice fang

    jolteon@ Focus sash
    timid 4hp, 252 spA, 252 spe

    -HP ice
    -Thunderbolt
    -Shadow ball
    -swagger

    Metagross @ Life orb
    Adamant 240 hp, 252 atk, 12 def

    -meteor mash
    -bullet punch
    -explosion
    -Earthquake

i was flying through a 39 win streak with my electivire, garchomp and lucario when all of a sudden. I had to fight THAT pokemon. the gliscor with guillotine and wide lens. personally, i don't believe that having something that is sent out last and keeps using a cheap move until it finishes off your entire team is a sign of skill - more like a sign of nintendo forcing you to waste 1/3 of your team on something with sturdy as an ability.

Yeah, I know; I saw it. That's just incredible, though. I lost at freakin' 98 'cause of some haxing Blissey with toxic, counter, softboiled, and double team. After three double teams, I did not hit it once (she kept avoiding my attacks).

Thats why I tend to skip Iron head on Scizor if I ever use it and have aerial ace for BT
And man thats terrible, tho the worst ones for first timers or people with fragile pokemon are most likely sash/enduring pincers, heracross, medichams etc that all run flail or reverse who end up sweeping your team.

If you never lost once, you mean you have an infinite streak?
