It's more of an exploitation maneuver than a glitch, but both are looked down upon. Just to talk about exploitation maneuvers, it's like someone snaking in a racing game or alt form abuse in Metroid Prime Hunters. People don't like this when they are playing against someone. In that respect, some people don't want to battle or trade with RNG abuse Pokemon, since they don't use the same measures and don't want to take the fun out of the game.
