This is the second pokemon marathon, and they are giving away a bunch of free stuff. There is never a dull moment with Tim commenting, and its for a really great cause!

I figured this would be the best forum to post this in.

They are playing red through ruby, and they will be playing pokemon snap and the pokemon trading card game.

Does anyone know why I can't access their chat? It worked before but now it's just forever connecting... I even updated my Adobe.

It's working fine for me, maybe try refreshing (but you probably tried that already). If it's taking ages connecting, it might be because of your internet connection, because the chat server's working for me.

It won't connect at all, ever now. It's been this way since like midnight. I have a fast connection, so I don't know what the problem is.

Not really, I am going on 30 hours on SoulSilver and I am only to Team Rocket taking over Goldenrod.

Well, I wouldn't say months (if that's the only game I'm playing), but yeah, it takes me much longer than then. Less than a day is just wow!

That's too less unless you're attempting to speedrun (but speedrunning would probably take lesser). I'll admit though, I play the game somewhat slowly and meticulously and (taking the HGSS example), I waste time on stuff like Voltorb Flip and Pokeathlon before the League.

I don't speedrun and it has never taken me any longer than about 25 hours to beat a Pokemon game. I'm not counting any Battle Tower stuff or completing the Dex. That obviously takes longer. But from start to the end of the League is about 20 hours. With post-game stuff such as what D/P/P had add another 2-3 hours.

Well, that's reasonable enough; I do play slower than your usual player ^^;

Oh well of course. I by no means stop playing a Pokemon game after Ive played for ~25 hours. I play every Pokemon game for at least 100 hours, Pearl I played 4 times that. Lots of things to do.

It all depends on what you do as you play. These guys would just be focused on beating the gyms, so they're going to go through it quicker than that.

Yeah, I noticed they weren't doing any of the optional side things or catching many Pokemon unless they had to.

Yeah, these guys are go through lots of games really fast, while still keeping it entertaining. I wouldn't call it speedrunning but it's not perfecting or doing what the average player would do. They mostly just do the essentials and a bit extra since who wins really doesn't matter a whole lot. The entertainment and getting people to donate are what they're worried about. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire thing, especially when the chat started to work on my end again. I'll be tuning in in the future, that's for sure.
