Don't get mad at me if I'm wrong, but if Masuda is hyping this announcement too then why would it be a spin-off? Not saying it's Gen 6, not saying it's R/S/E, heck it could be BW3 or grey. Regardless, I don't think it's going to be a spin off.

Its not Gen 6. Gen 6 will be announced a year from now. We get either Colosseum/XD remakes, RSEmakes to branch between Gens 5 and 6 or something completely irrelevant.

Colosseum has two Eeveelutions to start while XD lets you evolve your Eeveelution into anything up to Umbreon and Espeon. Much more solid background then a theorymon.

Watch the DS fade deeper and deeper into irrelevancy, and watch GameFreak make the next Pokemon games for the 3DS (they've had the devkits for around three years now). Watch all of the Hoenn Pokemon obtainable in BW/2, and watch GameFreak see no reason to make RSE anything. Watch how GameFreak has absolutely no new Pokemon up their sleeve to sustain Gen V, and watch how the Genesect movie has two unrevealed Pokemon in it anyway.

There haven't been either, there have been people grasping. Could either happen? Sure. But it's not as sure as people are making it out to be.

I don't think its xd, Colosseum or rse remakes, things game, anime and announced/promoted wise seem to point towards a new region/gen 6

All of which were a pain to obtain, and required three different pieces of hardware and transferring three different times to get to a DS.

Silhouettes, game titles/logos, reveal of pokemon in the next movie.

If it's Gen 6, all of the above makes sense,

If it's a remake, game titles/logo

If we are stuck in a non-remake gen 5 game, titles/logo

For the sake of others, spinoff, title/logo

Based on past patterns we will be getting Gen 6 between 2014 and 2015.

1st Gen - 1996
2nd Gen - 1999 (3 years, in case your maths is as bad as your thinking)
3rd Gen - 2002 (again, 3 years)
4th - 2006 (4 years)
5th - 2010 (4 years)

So there's NO SINGLE patter indicating towards 2015 and just as much patterns indicating towards 2013 as there are inidcating towards 2014. Your argument is invalid.

Considering the amount of hype this got I'm expecting a bit more than the usual.
