This is the first I am hearing of a new Eeveelution. That's really cool. I hope we get more than one new one, but I'll be fine either way.

Does anyone else think that color could match Ghost, Steel, or Flying type? Either of those is fine. I would prefer Ghost though.

^^I suppose it could be a deceased Eevee? Let it evolve by holding a Reaper Cloth at night or something? ....But does that mean you would kill your own Eevee? I guess that would make sense, because the descriptions of all the other Ghost Pokemon are a little creepy lol.

I think it'd be a cool idea to have a graveyard in this region & you have to go to a certain tombstone & it'll say "Would you like bury your Eevee?" lol then it comes out as a Ghost type Eeveelution.

A graveyard would be a neat idea, but I think it would be a little morbid. Especially since this game is rated 'E'. It wouldn't bother me though. I would do it to get a Ghost Eeveelution lol.

I believe that Smash is probably gonna reveal info next week that either

a) CoroCoro revealed but in greater detail.

b) Get a shot at battling in XY, like they did for BW (would reveal a one Poke at the least, 7 at the most.)

c) An eeveeloution that CoroCoro didn't reveal and it may be involved in the movie.

d) Co-star of movie 16

or all of the above.

Just to reiterate. Pokémon Smash very very rarely shows anything new. If it's an episode directly after the release of CoroCoro, it will just have those details and nothing more. It won't be in more detail

There is going to be a movie short all about eeveelutions coming with Extreme Speed Genesect. And, considering that X and Y have already been announced, there is almost now doubt that they're going to be 6th gen.

Besides that, the name for the short had a letter colored for each eeveelution...plus two more.

It was one more. And I think that theory is wrong anyway. It rests on the assumption that Espeon is represented by the bow. But why? Every other Eeveelution is represented by a Japanese character, and the one that Pokejungle thinks is for a new Pokemon matches Espeon's color perfectly. Unlike the bow. And the other part of that theory people were using as evidence was that there was a character in the anime at the time who had an Eevee plus all 7 evolutions... but then he left before it evolved into a new eeveelution. So there goes that theory.

We got 8 last time, actually. Haxorus, Excadrill, Cofagrigus, Galvantula, Gigalith, Gothitelle, Reuniclus, and Drilbur.

But I wouldn't expect that. "Pokemon Sunday always disappoints" was practically a meme last gen.

What you should said is "It is unlikely that Eevee is not getting a Dragon evolution" or "I don't think that Eevee is getting a Dragon evolution."

I don't quite follow these two points. What has spelling and grammar got to do with whether someone works for Game Freak? Besides, since their employees are mostly Japanese, wouldn't it make more sense for them to have poor English (since we're generalising, of course)? Also, is there a mysterious force at work that prevents every single GF employee from "flip[ping] out like a young child when someone disagree[s] with them"?

Yeah, Yanmask is "dead" as well. But not all ghost types are.

In fact I think they should add a pokemon the can change type from day to night.
The Life and Death pokemon. It would be a Normal type during the day, and "die" at night and become a Ghost type.
Then by the morning time it would resurrect and become a Normal type again.
Maybe this gen's "gimmick" pokemon.???

I bet that will make Magikarp useful now. 120 base power STAB move, coming off a 20 base SpA stat? Factor in some rain for another power boost, activate Swift Swim, you've got yourself a monster.

Smogon probably knew in advance this was happening, and banned Swift Swim + Drizzle for the sole purpose of stopping the inevitable PoliKarp combos.
