Stop being a hater and learn the difference between NEWS and GAME speculation, even another MOD has told you to stop hyping this thing up, no harm is being donbe, no flame wars, nada for you to be "interfering"

As long as it's already January 8th in Japan, the announcement could be revealed anytime in that day.

A bit early to be thinking of remakes/Gen 6 don't you think? We have not even started the N Arc yet, I think the announcement might be Meloetta or a new spin-off game or new opening scene revealing new captures or evolutions. These three are more likely (90%) to occur than remakes/Gen 6. And I pretty sure we not allow to talk of remakes and new gen.

Meloetta has been revealed already and released in Japan, the announcement is by Game Freak who deson't do the spin offs, and don't fo the anime either. Game Freak works on the Main Series games, and they do their own thing and the anime follows, they don't wait around to make the anime happy. Remakes/A new Gen are far more likely since it is by Game Freak, as are new Pokemon reveals.

Yeah. MMORPG would be awesome if executed well.

No it wouldn't, the pokémon series is aimed at young kids and would be severely limited on a handheld system. Furthermore making Pokémon a MMORPG would remove the core charm of what makes a Pokémon game unique.

Although, R/S/E released on DS and Gen 6 a short while after on the 3DS would make them more $.

Except for the fact that the DS line is now dead we aren't getting another Pokémon game for the DS.

Remake maybe but Gen 6 nope it about the right time for it rear it ugly head.

We have not even started the N Arc yet,

The Animé has very little to with the game plus the N arc is purely fillers until Gen 6 is released.

Japan got Meloetta last year, the announcement will have nothing to with it.

It's unlikely that it is given how Game Freak don't make the spin-off games.

Only the spin-off has a slim chance of being true but it's very unlikely that it will.

Anyway, I don't care what the announcement is as long as it isn't a new Eevee evolution. Ciccone ain't here for another member of that evolutionary family.

Um, it doesn't, but we weren't discussing that sir. We were discussing what Tuesday's announcement could be. Which is inarguably Pokemon news. If you're going to argue, at least say something somewhat relevant.

Same here...I love the days and even hours leading up to a big reveal. I didn't sleep much the night BW2 was revealed.

Guys, it's okay to speculate as long as you're answering the question, WHAT COULD THE ANNOUNCEMENT BE?
This thread have gotten offtrack and has turned into WHAT DO YOU WANT IN THE GAME.

I'll try to shift this thread to a different direction...

Let's discuss WHY THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CAN'T BE RS REMAKES...

:: The Regi Trio, and Lati@s are already obtainable in the most recent games.
:: There is currently an ongoing event that distributes Groudon and Kyogre in Pokemon Centres in Japan in commemoration of Ruby & Sapphire 10th Anniversary.
:: Rayquaza was distributed early last year.
:: Deoxys was recently distributed in various Aeon Stores & Jump Festa last month.

If RS remakes is to be announced as the next game, it doesn't make sense to distribute the game's legendaries (especially the mascot) that will be obtainable in the game to begin with.

If anything, RS should've been released instead of B2W2 to commemorate it's 10th anniversary.
