I do miss RSE. I can't wait for a remake if they make one this gen. However, I hope they add Night/Day and a real clock.

While I don't miss the action in the game, the battling can be tedious and slow (goodness, I'm glad the fourth generation changed that) however the soundtrack is what I liked the most in the game. I still have the three games with me so I can play on my DS.

I don't miss the region since I've never physically been there lol, but yes I suppose I do get nostalgic when I think back to the days where my character would race around the rugged terrain looking for wild Pokemon. The region itself was a breath of fresh air since Kanto and Johto were too temperate for my tastes. I liked Hoenn's tropical feel, it made me relate to the area since I've lived in the tropics before. I don't miss RSE though, I still play the games every once in a while and I dislike the whole battle system. I've gotten too used to the Special/Physical attack system in Gen 4

I do miss it, but it's not like I can't play RSE whenever I want to, is it? :P

Not that i didn't play it for years, but i do miss it. Gen 4 missed a lot of... feeling in my opinion. not that i dont like gen 4, but it felt more like an actual game (i know it IS a game)
but hoenn is the best, thats a fact lol

And the battle system in gen 3 was faster as the one in gen 4, so i don't get why someone earlier said otherwise.

3rd Gen was the best, the story had the whole team vs team and you in the middle, that was something new, a lot of new pokemon lines instead of a bunch of evolutions to old pokemon which 4th gen has a ton of. May is 2nd only to Misty and the starters are 2nd only to Kanto. The 1st gen I have more nostalgia for cause I grew up with it, but 3rd gen still wins overall. I Still play Emerald and it's not that old so I don't miss it.

The only thing I missed is the battle frontier, and is the only reason i'm replaying emerald. If it wasn't for that I'd have no reason to play.

Hoenn was not good in my opinion. Not enough memorable Pokemon.

Black and White isn't doing much for me either.

Potential Pokemon Black Team!

I really liked it, I think if they make a re-make of it with a lot more added Pokemon and more activities to do like in HG/SS then, it'd be pretty fun and re-playable.

I first played Ruby version when I was in middle school, and emerald a few years ago. The 3rd gen has no nostalgia goggles for me... on my first time playing the game I thought it was pretty good, however after I beat it once it didn't have NEARLY as much replayability as the previous gens. I grew VERY bored with these games VERY quickly in comparison to them. The pokemon of that gen have also been really unmemorable to me...

However, I started replaying emerald recently after not playing it in over a year. Objectively speaking the 3rd gen was great! I am really beginning to truly appreciate all of the little innovations this gen made. I still prefer the other regions to it, but I actually like it this time around instead of being neutral towards it or disliking it.

It's so weird seeing people who have nostalgia goggles on for this gen, especially if they hate the 4th gen (which most people like me who started with the 1st gen really liked since it seemed to return the things they thought hoenn "took away"). It makes me feel rather old.

Third gen is love. I miss Hoenn quite a bit.
I've been wanting to replay Sapphire so bad, but I've been so busy lately I can't.

I really don't see the reasons why R/S/E causes so much hate. I used to think the same thing before I played the games. Now I love them. R/S/E was what got me back into poke'mon after I quit.
So. 3rd Generation will always be love. <3

I miss Hoenn honestly. It was the first game where I ended up learning how to really play the game well enough that I had little trouble with it. Plus I knew nothing about any of the Pokémon before playing through, so it was fun learning everything.

After D/P came out though their new and improved graphics ended up beating out Sapphire and Emerald in the long run :/ I still would like to play through them more though, I just get way to bored.

I honestly miss the 3rd Gen. games.

Hoenn was a beautiful video game world. The fantastic scenery of rainforests, deserts, volcanoes, ashy ploains, caves, underwater, an abandoned ship, sandy shores, and the magnificent blue ocean all blow every other game out of comparison.

The Pokemon desigsn were extravagant and lovely, even if some were copying off from previous generations. Those that were unique were beautifully so, and left a memory mark in your mind.

The gameplay was magnificent, with fighting off teams that were un-iintentionally harming the world when they were trying to help it. Calming raging beasts and battling and trading with your friends as well as making berries and entering contests were all in good joy and merriment.

I love Hoen, and am exteremly upset that my Emerald file has been erased. What I could do to have it back, with my silver symbols and complted Dex, as Hoenn is a wonderful place and I would enjoy viewing it again without having to wait until I can fly; and even then, my journey would still be unfinished.

Sum: Yes, I miss Hoenn, and the games are underappreciated and are booted out of the way too much in favor of gen. 4 and the hype that gen. 5 brings.

Hoenn has the best Pokemon in my opinion. I didn't like the game at first, but after playing through it the 4th time I realized that I it's the game I enjoy replaying the most.

I miss Hoen because that's where pokes like Pert, mence, flygon and a few others got to really shine. While they're still important now they're out shined by other pokes. The story line for R/S/E wasn't all that good to be honest, but it did feature the battle frontier which was fun. Another thing I liked was that skill Dive, it was kinda cool going underwater to catch pokes.

I love the 3rd gen. pokemon! 3rd gen is my favorite from all of pokemon tbh. a remake like HG/SS would have me pre ordering it. If it were ever to happen(which i have high hopes it might!) Sapphire is where i started.. getting my blaziken to lvl 100, having flygon, shiftry, mightyena, absol, sharpedo in my team.. i enjoy the 3rd gen pokemon alot ;D
