More trainer battles means less character development, and more importantly, an increase in COTD.

Regardless of how one feels about contests, it certainly has changed a lot of what would be COTD in previous gens to support and reoccurring cast.

I think the balance is just fine as is. Though I would like some more evolutions on Ash's side in the near future, since Paul will inevitably at least get the Sinnoh evolutions Electivire and Magmortar.

Everything else is fine, as far as I'm concerned, but I think they're taking those two Less things a bit too far. I'd also like to see more characters with more than one quirk (if just one at all), like Jun always running into people or Fantina always doing those theatrical dancy motions or whatever. I'd like to find something in everyone to remember them by, at least.
