    New region (will expand upon)
Ocullux (Oculus [Latin for eye, sight, vision, etc] + Lux [Latin for Light])
Region geography: It's an archipelago with one big main island, three sub-main islands and several small islands scattered about.
Region climate: Ranges from desert-like conditions to tropical.
Region location: The region is far from all other regions. The closest region to it (still far) is Kalos.
    Region professor: Buckeye
Region legends: A balance trio of sorts + one central legend in the middle of the main island in a structure known as Triangulum Septum.
    Black 2 FC: 4729 0026 0417
Too lazy to put X FC.

I would have made it Water/Dragon and why has Mega Feraligatr got 9 Sp Atk?
Currently playing Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Annoyed about the lack of Emerald elements in the game. Annoyed about Ash releasing Goodra in anime.

Currently own: X and Y, Black 2 and White 2, Black and White, Heart Gold and Soul Silver, Platinum, Diamond and Pearl, Super Pokemon Rumble, Ranger 3, Ranger 2, Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time and Dragon Ball Z: Super Sonic Warriors. Guidebooks for Johto games, Hoenn games, Unova games and Kalos games.

Own quite a number shinies, especially in Y thanks to Consecutive Fishing.

Own all 5 gen event legends in White 2, many came from my brother which I like to thank.

Only problem with this is that you made its signature move useless, because Volt Tackle coming off of a base 5 Attack isn't going to be killing anything.

Yeah, but Pikachu can do so much more as a special attacker. Its other physical moves are not good, and Volt Tackle does't warrant a physical variant of mega Pikachu; at least in my opinion.

I know its Special Attacking movepool is better, but a Pokémon with a signature moves almost always has the stat to use it. There is really no other Pokémon with a signature move that doesn't have the stats to use it. It also has a decent enough physical movepool to use. A Volt Tackle, Knock Off, and Brick Break set with Fake Out to guarantee the Mega Evolution, can really do some damage with a higher attack stat.

Why do so many people want Mega Gatr to be part Dragon-type? Don't we already have enough Dragon megas? Besides, Dark typing would be better for it competitively since it would have more resistances and an immunity. Water/Dragon would only leave it with three resistances, so it would have a hard time switching in and setting up.

First of: Pikachu and Magikarp are not fully evolved, so they can't have mega evolutions. Also having -50 atk for Pikachu is insane, makes Volt Tackle useless. Second: I think Water/Dragon for Mega Feraligatr is good since Charizard and Sceptile has one and we need a water starter that would gain dragon upon mega evolution. And I never consider Water/Dark that good anyway, Water/Dragon has only two weakness while Water/Dark has multiple weakness.

First off, Pikachu is the mascot of this franchise; it'd be wise not to say that Pikachu can't have a Mega, because we know how GAMEFREAK is with their Japanese fanbase.

Second, Volt Tackle is, pretty much, the only 'good' physical move Pikachu has. It may be its signature move, but it doesn't warrant an Attack oriented Mega, especially with Pikachu being so Special-oriented.

Third, you may not be trying to sound sassy, but that's how I'm taking your post. Your sass level needs to drop to the ground. This is a 'for fun' thread. GAME FREAK is most likely not taking any ideas from this forum, so don't act like things are cut-and-dry here; that things in this thread need to sound completely sensical.

Fourth, I'm really sorry if you weren't trying to be sassy. If you weren't being sassy, disregard the sassiness of my post . . .

    Pokemon Indigo
Pokemon Indigo is an important spin-off, functioning as a prequel to the Kanto games. It is set 40 years ago. The main characters are a young Professor Oak. Mechanics are different. You grow up with a Rhyhorn, your constant companion(its gender depends on yours). You have somewhat of a Ranger mechanic, as Pokeballs are a new invention. You can have only five Pokemon with you at a time, and with the exception of your starter must replace when locating new members

Battles mechanics are somewhat different, as like with Mystery Dungeon and Ranger games. The primitive Pokedex, functioning more on the lines of a notebook, fills with more data. There is a villainous team, who will serve as the originator of the future Team Rocket

Worth noting that, without trading, certain Pokemon cannot evolve normally. Rather, they require holding their trade item in the region known as the "Power Ring", or simply level up there

It can interact with main games in "Oak's Legacy." What do you get?
    * The first interaction is the Old Kanto Pokedex, which is based off the Index Number Pokedex. Add more data over time. This Dex is special in that it has quite a lot of flavor text. Some special Pokemon can
    * You may finally challenge a battle with Professor Oak. He is incredibly difficult, as his team members are always 3 levels higher than your strongest Pokemon. You do not gain experience or record them in your Pokedex. There are two modes:
** Upload Mode: Upload Mode is using the present Pokemon you are using on Pokemon Indigo. In addition, you have Professor Oak using the Kanto starter as a Mega, that you are weak too
** Champion Mode: The canon team of Professor Oak. It is composed of Rhydon(with Eviolite), Poliwrath, Scizor, Mega Charizard X, Porygon-Z and most importantly Mew. If you manage to beat him, you are rewarded with a "Mysterious Egg", which hatches into Mew

    Pokemon Indigo Olde Dex

    Legendary Pokemon
    Tanovim, the Totality Pokemon
    Type-Dragon/Water
Ability-Plasma Charge(Fire and Electric moves get 50% attack bonus)
BST-740. Tanovim is the most powerful Pokemon without Mega Evolution
How to obtain-Bring Kyurem, Reshiram and Zekrom to the Cornerstone Tower of Unova. Ask to fuse them. The three Pokemon will undergo a Super Fusion, reunited into one single Pokemon. You can fuse and defuse them at any time
Signature move-Tanovim's Signature Move, Unity Blast is a renovated Tri Beam. Unity Blast is 130, 90% accuracy, has a 20% chance of burning the opponent, 20% chance of paralyzing and 20% chance of freezing. However the user must recharge afterwards

    Mega Hydreigon
    Type-Dragon/Steel
    Ability-Levitate(False Mega), Mega Launcher(True Mega)
BST-680(When Ghetsis uses it), 700(When you use it)
Note-This is Ghetsis' attempt at replicating and manufacturing Mega Evolution. As Ghetsis has a heart too evil for bonding with his Pokemon, he must force it. The result is an improper Mega Evolution, exclusive to his wicked self

    Primal Genesect
    Type-Bug/Fire
    Ability-Mega Launcher
    Item needed-Plasma Orb
Note-This is the original organism that Genesect was cloned from. However, due to being rejuvenated from the cybernetic Genesect, it retains a few gadgets keeping it alive

    Complete Genesect
    Type-Bug/Steel
Ability-Drive Charge(gains STAB on moves corresponding to the Pokemon's Drive)
    BST-680
Item needed-Plasma Key(does not need to hold)
Note-This is Genesect as envisioned by its creator. Some organic components can be seen. Their color depends on what drive Genesect is holding

Silver Key: An item, the Silver Key is capable of unlocking the Hidden Ability of Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres. To utilize it, you must have caught Lugia

Primal bird trio: In Pokemon W, one major quest is the role Lugia and the legendary birds. As mentioned in an earlier post, they are connected to AZ. Long ago, the legendary birds had great power, but was restrained to control them. Primal Articuno has Snow Warning, Primal Zapdos Drizzle and Primal Moltres Drought. Most powerful of all is Primal Lugia. Primal Lugia becomes a Psychic/Dragon Pokemon, with its own signature ability: Storm Power. Storm Power boosts the effectiveness of any weather condition in play. Drought will multiply Fire types by three, Drizzle will multiply Water types by three, Hail will have a small chance of freezing non-Ice Pokemon and Sandstorm will have a small chance of causing Flinches on Pokemon who are not Steel, Rock or Ground types

Gold Key: An item, the Gold Key, is capable of unlocking the Hidden Ability of Raikou, Entei and Suicune

Mega beast trio: The backstory is that Ho-oh used energy similar to Mega Evolution in order to bring the dead Pokemon back as the beast trio legends. Through regaining its true power, it can give them the full power it desired for the beast trio. Mega Raikou is Electric with the Flame Body ability(the lighting started the burning of the tower). Mega Entei is Fire with the Lightning Rod Ability(the lightning burned the tower) and Mega Suicune is Water/Psychic with Poison Heal. Mega Ho-oh is a majestic Fire/Psychic type, with the signature ability Blessing. Blessing means that, if Mega Ho-oh is defeated, the next Pokemon will be blessed with all its stat boosts

    Ultimate Zygarde X/Y
Ultimate Zygarde is the equivalent of Mega Zygarde. However instead of requiring a Mega Stone, it requires the Mega Globe Key Item, which can be found after getting it. Said Mega Globe is found in its environment, allowing it to do so in battle. When obtaining power, Zygarde has a grand new forme, one predating Mega Evolution

Ultimate Zygarde X and Y retain the same typing, but abilities to counter Xerneas and Yveltal respectively. Ultimate Zygarde X gains the ability Earth Queen, which make Fairy types weak to Ground. Ultimate Zygarde Y gains the ability Earth King, which makes Flying types weak to Ground

Hoopa event: In W and Z, Hoopa will be encountered as a DLC, in the developing Battle Tower. There, you will find that Hoopa is causing trouble. Make sure you have already captured one of the portal legends. Enter the empty hole, and there you will discover Hoopa's domain-a strange castle. Hoopa has been freed, possessing its Unbound Power. It resorts to its Sealed Form afterwards

Mew event: Like with Deoxys, no events are needed. It is the Pokemon that AZ used for his ultimate machine. Mew can become Primal. Like Mega Rayquaza, Mew doesn't need to hold its new item. It simply requires to learn its signature move: Master Strike. Master Strike is a move with 100 attack power, and is a Normal type. The twist? It ignores type immunities, resistances and even abilities. Primal Mew is a Psychic/Normal Pokemon with Protean

I've been formulating a region lately; it's not very fleshed out yet. So far all I have is:
-the biggest city is separated into 3 parts (I'll just call it 'City' for now)
-each section has its own gym leader
-the three section's gym leaders are a family.

Gym 1: Poison, Leader: Eliza (north section of city)
Eliza's appearance and personality are loosely based on my ideal self. Younger sister of Scott and daughter of Virgil.
    First battle: Gastly, Stunky
Rematch: Seviper, Weezing, Gengar, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Mega Skuntank

Gym 2: Normal, Leader: Scott (east section of city)
Scott is heavily derived from the SSX series' Mac Fraser. Gym is a techno-DJ-tower with 6 floors, at the top of which is an arena surrounded by a chain-link fence dome. Older brother of Eliza and son of Virgil.
    First battle: Whismur, Furret, Zangoose
Rematch: Exploud, Furret, Dunsparce, Kecleon, Porygon-Z, Mega Zangoose

Gym 3: Bug, Leader: Krill (rural Ireland based town)
Krill is very straightforward, naive, brash and passionate, but has a lot of empathy towards other people and Pokemon. She has a thick Scottish accent.
    First battle: Joltik, Wormadam-Grass, Whirlipede
Rematch: Galvantula, Wormadam-Grass, Volcarona, Durant, Masquerain, Mega Scolipede

Gym 4: Water, Leader: Wendell (generic beach town)
Wendell is known for being generous, laid-back and musically adept. Surprisingly bad at swimming. Based off of James Brown, but calmer and more overweight. Childhood friend of Virgil.
First battle: Dewott, Clawitzer, Basculin, Bibarel
Rematch: Qwilfish, Samurott, Clawitzer, Basculin, Floatzel, Mega Bibarel

Gym 5: Grass, Leader: Hemlock (suburban town known for being really snobby and expensive)
Hemlock is basically a blond Kaneo Takarada in a green tuxedo. I need to work on his appearance.
    First battle: Jumpluff
Rematch: Ferrothorn, Gogoat, Sawsbuck, Exeggutor, Hypno, Mega Jumpluff

    Gym 6: Psychic, Leader: Gideon
All I have is his name and type, need to work on this more.

Gym 7: Ice, Leaders: Hailey and Krystal (Scandinavia-based city)
Two sisters that are very close to one another, specializes in Double Battles. Loosely based on my own sisters.
    First battle: Glalie, Froslass
Rematch: Avalugg, Abomasnow, Dewgong, Lapras, Mega Glalie, Mega Froslass

Gym 8: Dark, Leader: Virgil (west section of city)
An older man and father of Eliza and Scott, he is close friends with many important people and Gym Leaders, especially Wendell. He has a tragic history that few people know about, despite his upbeat manner.
First battle: Sableye, Spiritomb, Drapion, Bisharp, Mightyena
Rematch: Sableye, Houndoom, Spiritomb, Drapion, Bisharp, Mega Mightyena

This is all I have so far, still trying to put together a story, evil team, elite 4, champion, etc. etc.

Water/Fairy would make more sense for Milotic. Milotic's dex entries state that it can release pulsing waves of energy to calm hostile emotions, which could be expanded on with its Mega Evolution to give it more magical abilities. Appearance wise, it could become more mermaid like to emphasize its beauty, which also justifies the Fairy typing since mermaids are considered a type of fairy.

But Milotic is already in the Dragon egg group and knows, or can learn, a large variety of Dragon-type attacks. I think it would be more sensical as Water/Dragon.

    So is:

    Arbok
    Gyarados
    Seviper
    Scrafty
    Heliolisk

The following non-Dragons can learn just as many if not more Dragon type attacks as Milotic:

    Gyarados
    Feraligatr
    Steelix
    Aggron
    Rhyperior
    Krookodile
    Scrafty
    Archeops
    Eelektross

Those qualities aren't unique to Milotic and don't really define it as Dragon. Things like concept and lore are much stronger indicators of potential types than egg groups or movesets.

Arguably, Gyrados really should've been part Dragon, and Seviper, Arbok and Scrafty make no sense being in the Dragon egg group. Heliolisk I could see getting a Mega with a Dragon type change, however.

Milotic has always been a shoo-in for a part-Dragon typing. Only since the release of the Fairy-type have people shifted towards this view of a Water/Fairy typing for it. Besides, my reasoning for M-Milotic being Water/Dragon is basically the same reasoning for the majority of Fairy-types becoming part-Fairy: because they were in the Fairy egg group.

Except that Milotic learns no Fairy moves besides Disarming Voice. Yeah, we can always add Fairy moves to its learnset, but that's not how I, personally, change Pokémon. The only Pokémon I have completely altered to make a point was Mega Reuniclus, which had no Poison-type moves at its disposal when I added the Poison-type to it.

If you want to make a Water/Fairy Milotic, go ahead, but I stand by my original concept; it's just more sensical based on its current learnset.
