That'd be very pointless. Why would I want a clone Pikachu if it's just going to be the same as a real Pikachu?

Think of it as a second shiny form.

Now to answer the question: Would I like it? I honestly couldn't care less if they added it or not.

Oh, not again. I swear I won't play any more new games with Kanto on them.

    But I agree with you.

Neither would I. Kanto is a nice region, but I can't stand the sight of it anymore.

There's only room for one pointless recolor in the game. If they don't give clones some significant difference, they shouldn't bother.

I completely agree. But if for some reason they did introduce an alternate shiny form (which is actually a very popular idea), I simply wouldn't care for it.

Anime =/= Games is the simple answer. Plus, I thought they revisited it in the anime.

    Hoenn has disappointed.

P.S. I get tired of complaints from great games.

I guess it would be interesting. Actually, it would be far more interesting than the "usual" events they normally hand out (except for the shiny ones). And I'm saying this despite the fact that I highly dislike the first movie considering it the essence of all that's ever gona wrong in the pokmn anime*shot*

But anyway, it's not like they can suddenly decide to do it, just like that. They can't make up new sprites to add in an already-existing game, but they will have to be already in the coding of the game. The same way that Reshiram, Zekrom and Victini's shiny sprites weren't legitimally obtainable in B/W, but still could be made available through events or trades.

Wich means, if it will ever happen, it's not going to be before gen 6. Also, we'd know about it as soon as such a game comes out, for we'll be able to see all the sprites of the game before we'll obtain them (you know, just like we knew all the shiny forms of the new pokemon as soon as the games were released in japan).

Well, if it game as part of the 6th Gen, like all past gens, you'd be able to get all Pokémon in your current gen. No need to return to Kanto. I can get a perfectly legit Squirtle in my Black, but it's not part of the generation and it's not set in Kanto. Yet I can still get it. So, that part of the argument holds no value, we don't need to return to Kanto to see it.

Plus, with the release of Black 2 and White 2, you can catch N's old Pokémon which are variants of shinies. Why can it not be possible to add some markings to existing sprites.

Sure, as someone said, why have one when you can have a normal Pikachu, but the same can be said about why would I want a shiny Pikachu when I can have a normal one? That point is also invalid. If it's rare, people will want it.

Regardless, this is just my opinion, and I'm glad for all your feedback so far, it's really nice to hear about your thoughts.

N's Pokemon are different from this, they're not recolors, and they actually do have something different about them then normal Pokemon (they have near perfect IVs across the board, 30 for each stat IIRC).

Alternate entrance themes does not mean the equivalent of shiny Pokemon. They still maintain normal coloration.

My mistake, I must have misread Serebii.

EDIT: No, I didn't misread it. Serebii clearly states they shine, akin to Shiny Pokémon. In a sense, they ARE different.

this idea is interesting.. the clones looked somewhat different if i recall... like the awesome Charizard with stripes on it.. (correct me if i'm wrong on any of this) i don't think they would.. but having those as an alternate shiny form would be pretty cool ^.^
    Shinies:
Chandelure-4 and a half hour search in celestial tower.
Zigzagoon-Most random encounter... i was looking for a normal wingull/swellow and sort of stumbled upon it
Psyduck-Sort of just training a venesaur against some golduck and a pretty blue psyduck came along (Now a Golduck)
Ekans-1 hour After a blue psyduck i was walking from vermilion city to lavender town and stumbled into the grass (purely by accident) and found a nice golden ekans. (Now an Arbok)
Gyarados- yes... the shiny everyone has.
Volbeat- Another one i sort of stumbled on... training a snorlax above the resort area
    Vileplume-Traded from the GTS.

They have a different entry animation, that is true, but they're not recolors. Either way, I have no complaints with N's Pokemon, because they actually have something else different about them. Shinies and clones do not.

Shouldn't it have a different effect in different circumstances? I mean, Magnets can repel OR attract, after all.

What makes it latch onto foes? Physical contact?

That seems a bit extreme, but at least it's a fair trade off.

Why would mist confuse a Pokemon? It seems like it shouldd reduce accuracy instead.

I originally had it only repel if both were holding it, and stay in battle if one was holding it, but it would be incredibly unreliable and never used so I changed it.

What makes it latch onto foes? Physical contact?

Yes. Just like Sticky Barb. I should've clarified it.

That seems a bit extreme, but at least it's a fair trade off.

Priority moves are still upped, and -7 is only the "base" priority.

Why would mist confuse a Pokemon? It seems like it shouldd reduce accuracy instead.

It probably should, but I could not think of a better name for it.

Locks Bug type Pokémon in battle if holder is in battle.

Default Invertebrates need some love too, you know

Hexadusa and Cubelatin, the Floating Jelly Pokemon
    Type-Psychic/Electric
    Ability-Levitate/Static, Dry Skin(Dream World)
    Evolves-Lv 33
Basis-Hexadusa and Cubelatin are based off the box jellyfish. They are like normal jellyfish, except with behaviour and more complex
Name origin-Hexadusa uses Hexahedron(the name of a cube) and Medusa(the name of the shape of jellyfish). Cubelatin uses cube and gelatin
Pokedex description-"Highly intelligent, Hexadusa has managed to escape the sea. It does this to hunt birds."/ "Though powerful, Hexadusa rarely confront their opponent. They are secretly vulnerable organisms."
Stats-Hexadusa have quite poor physical defense and offense. They make this up, however, with great special and speed. They also have a nice amount of HP
Moves-Hexadusa and Cubelatin are good status inflictors-along with moves you'd expect, they know a fair number of Poison moves. Also, they have a few Water moves. They have a unique move called Electro Whip. Electro Whip is a Special based move with 60 base power and 15 PP. It has a small chance of Poisoning the opponent.

    Narachne, Nerachne and Pontachne
    Type-Bug/Water
    Ability-Weak Armor/Compound Eyes
    Evolves-Narachne-Lv 21-Nerachne-Lv 36-Pontachne
Name basis-Mix of arachne and two nymph names/the primal ocean deity Pontus
    Basis-A sea spider
Stats-Average defenses, but quite good speed and nice attack
    Moves-Standard

Depthurm, Shadworm and Wurmbra, the Flat Pokemon
    Type-Ghost
Ability-Intangible(physical moves have less chance of hitting this Pokemon), Shadow Tag(Dream World)
    Evolves-Depthurm-Lv 20-Shadworm-Lv 33-Wurmbra
Name basis-Shadworm and Wurmbra mix shadow or umbra(also related to shadow) with worm. Depthurm does the same, but with depth(for irony)
Description-This Pokemon is based off a literal interpretation of the flatworm. It is the mixture of a shadow and a flatworm. Depthurm starts off a small shadow with floating eyes. Shadworm looks like a shadow version of the traditional flatworm with some colorful stripes, while Wurmbra takes it up a notch by being a giant shadow worm
Stats-This Pokemon has strangely good speed. It had nice special defenses and good defense, but very little physical attack. It does have some great Special Attack when it evolves.

    Glisquid and Cephloat
    Type-Water/Psychic
    Ability-Levitate
    Evolves-Glisquid-Lv 30 Cephloat
Basis-Glisquid and Cephloat are based off the Japanese Flying Squid, a species of squid with the ability to "fly", like the flying fish
