I haven't been active here in years, but I thought I'd drop by after seeing screenshots of this episode.
It makes me really happy she isn't forgotten! At this point, I wasn't expecting to see her ever again...flashbacks or anything

I guess this proves Ash still remembers her? I'd hope so. He does claim to be her friend and all.

Anyway, I have hope that there will be more opportunities soon for a better appearance. No matter how out of the pokemon fandom I am, I always get excited about anything Misty-Related.

I hope we get to see her again too, even though I doubt they'll do it. I get pretty excited as well

Angel~ : I love your signature photo-thing! Isn't that from Pokemon 3: The Movie? Seeing the group dynamic between those three makes me feel like a kid. I wish they were still together...

To everyone else who has posted photos of the new episode with Misty...thank you! Haven't seen it; and i'm not sure I will. It's weird seeing Brock and Misty drawn like that, but, it's still good to see them despite the fact we haven't in a long time.

I have to say, I really am excited for this new Pokemon episode. I haven't been this excited for a Pokemon episode in like, 10 years!!! It looks like it's more than one flashback, judging by the screencaps. The obvious one is the Charmander episode, and the other looks like the one where he let Charizard go, I think? And then the other looks like the episode where Charmander evolves into Charmeleon. That one is the one where Misty is wearing that costume, and Ash calls the outfit, "cute." Wouldn't it be cute to see that in the flashback? Even though that probably isn't the case. We can use our imaginations though...

I hope there are more flashbacks to come, at the very least, and this isn't the last we see of Misty...

I've stopped writing for the time being, partly because of how busy I am, but hey, looking through those flashback screenshots does rekindle that old creative fire.

Ah Im so sad that Mistys cameo from the Charizard episode wasnt very long I really wanted to see more interactions between her and Ash but that didnt happen. I guess the cameo was better than nothing at all right?? Oh well maybe we will get to see some of that later on like in the new story arc or some thing. Im just depressed that all the Pokeshipping things Ive looked forward to recently havent been as exciting as I hoped. But theres no use crying over spilled milk right lol

Well, I think quite some people got a bit too enthusiastic. It was just a flashback, nothing more than that. Knowing the girl pattern of one saga, one cameo and being treated like they never existed after that, there wasn't any reason to expect Misty to actually return. These flashbacks were about Charizard, Brock and Misty were solely there because they were in the respective OS episodes.

However, this flashback did inspire me for this drawing. If Misty would ever appear again, it would probably be with her AG outfit, while Ash has his BW outfit now, so I gave them those outfits. I know it's not going to happen, but it was still nice to draw.

Correct, but there's nothing wrong with being excited about it. Or seeing Misty in the flashbacks with new animation for that matter.

Can anyone recommend any good fan fiction? I just read this really good story called Five Days of Midnight, and I already finished it. I want some really good fan fiction, where the characters are kept in character, and it feels almost like it could be a movie or an episode. I haven't found any good ones besides that one I just read.

Well, there are two fics I'd like to recommend you for that. Both are oneshots, I'd say they can feel like an episode.

This is "The Two Hearts Tournament" by Skiyomi, it could very well be the most enjoyable fic I've ever read. It was intended to be like an anime episode.

It feels awkward to recommend my own fic, and I don't think this is top-quality, but I do think the characters are really in-character here, which is why I'm putting it here too. It's called "Misty, The Mysterious Mermaid".

My favourite is Fate and Destiny of Friends by Water Spirit. Unfortunately it isn't finished but it' still pretty damn close to the anime I'll have to check 'Five days of Midnight'

Just thought I would post in here. Started watching pokemon back when it originally aired (has it really been 14-15 years...?), I was pretty young back then (6!), but I noticed an attraction between Ash and Misty. I got out of pokemon after the GSC days, but occasionally tried to play 3rd gen games like Sapphire and Fire Red. It is really good to see that there are still Pokeshippers out there, although I currently have no idea who Ash is traveling with now or where the **** he even is.

Without reading the 200+ pages in this thread, how many appearances has Misty made since her and Ash parted ways after Johto? I really stopped watching the anime at that point as I felt it was just not the same.

For any of the new pokemon fan out there (I consider this to be Hoenn or newer), please go check out the original anime. I currently started rewatching them, great memories.

Misty reappeared from The Princess and the
Togepi to A Togepi Mirage! where she meets up
with Ash and Brock again, along with meeting
May and Max for the first time. During the
episode A Togepi Mirage, her Togepi evolves
into a Togetic and helps defend the Togepi
Paradise. Towards the end of the episode,
Togetic decides to stay with the other Togepi
to protect them, sharing one last tearful
moment with Misty. She makes three more
appearances in the Advanced Generation series
from The Scheme Team to A Real Cleffa-
Hanger, as well as The Mastermind of Mirage
Pokémon. She later appeared in flashbacks in
Gathering the Gang of Four.

Misty's appearance in High Touch!
Misty in Brock's memories in SS025
Misty has not physically appeared in the
Diamond & Pearl series, but has been
referenced. Misty's special lure appeared in
Buizel Your Way out of This!, and Misty
appeared on Brock's memory wall in the

I think that for whatever reason, Ash should meet up with Brock and Misty and travel with them again for the next few seasons. I don't think the writers/producers/directors...hell! Even Satoshi Tajiri realize how many more views Pokemon would get if they brought back Misty, and had the original 3 traveling together again!. SOOOOOO many of the old viewers (such as myself) would start watching it again.

I mean, even originally I don't understand why Brock came back instead of Misty to travel with Ash. (Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Brock to death also) It seems like Misty had a way bigger fanbase than Brock. I mean, NONE of the female companions have even come close to comparing with Misty. I liked may, but still doesn't come close to Misty.

I don't know...I think that the writers have some sort of intentions on bringing her back...because you can tell by watching the series that Misty was the only one that Ash had feelings for. Ash has never shown any signs of liking another girl besides Misty. When Misty had to leave him, it was this big huge emotional thing! He even cried!. When he says goodbye to his other companions, its not even this big emotional thing. I think that the writers also favor Misty and want to bring her back sometime in the future, which I think would be GREAT for the show!.

I just loved Ash and Mistys relationship. How they would constantly bicker, fight, tease...It was so cute!. But you could tell that they really cared for eachother, while the other females he's traveled with, it seems like he doesn't give a rats booty!. lol i don't know.... I'm thinking when they are ready to have the final seasons of pokemon, I think thats when they will bring Misty back. (:

Sounds good to me. I don't watch Pokemon anymore, I am probably too 'old' for it now anyways, whatever. But although I agree with you that they should bring Misty and Brock back in the last few seasons to close the show, I don't know if I am ready for that to happen yet.

I mean, Pokemon is a great thing, and the newer generations need to be exposed to it. If the anime dies off, the games and everything else have less meaning, and before we know it, pokemon will be a thing of the past. I will still be in the past, playing Pokemon Silver.

Anyways, enough of my rambling. I would love to see Misty back. If something like that were to occur I would certainly make time to watch the anime again!

Devastated!. ): I've watched it since the beginning!. (Though I cant bare to watch the newer ones) and I own all of the games and I still continue to play them x)
