Sentai and Power Rangers, for example. You may not know this, but Japan created Power Rangers. For the Power Rangers series, the Americans usually took a small amount of footage from the original Sentai series, and then they just dubbed it over with the American actors' voices. But sometimes, Americans created their own Power Ranger fighting footages. They also created their own bad guys, and made their own megazord battle footage that the original series didn't have. Heck, in Power Rangers Light Speed Rescue, the Americans actually created thier own Power Ranger (in GoGo V, there were only 5 rangers). So would it be fair to ignore the originality Americans added to the Sentai series in the form of "Power Rangers", and only stick to the original Sentai series where you should think an improvment could have been made? Unless, of course, you lived in Japan only, so all you could watch is the original Sentai series.
Do you see where I am going with this? Case in point, originality never hurts. It’s good.
