I felt guilty of posting here before reviewing, My head hurts.. Yet, I'll make this short.First of all, welcome to the new pokeshippers around As for the the fanart, I like the idea AquaMilotic. I can't remember if I've seen the episode you based your background with yet I love the art, nice job!

Happy Valentine's Day to you as well. Wow, I like your drawings. I especially like the second one. It is super cute with Ash, Misty, and Horsea. I wish I could draw.

Well, to get better at drawing when not being talented, keep trying and put a lot of effort in it, and practice often. You won't improve in one day, but with dedication and effort, you can improve a lot. I'm extremely untalented, but when comparing my more recent work to my early work, there's a lot of improvement.

If there are any other shippings you'd like to see challenge Pokeshipping what would they be?

None... Ash and Misty can get conflict by arguing and their personal flaws, no love rivals are needed for that. And sure, others can show interest in Ash or Misty, but even when Ash/Misty isn't even the slightest bit interested in that other guy/girl, there'll still be jealousy, just look at Misty showing jealousy about Macey liking Ash during the Johto League: Ash wasn't even the slightest bit interested in Macey, but Misty still got jealous and mad.

Hmm, I haven't thought of this before. I'd say it's egoshipping -shots-. Rocketshipping maybe.. I'll give a good answer later.XD

RocketShipping challenging PokeShipping? How is that possible? I suppose only non-PokeShipping shippings involving Ash and/or Misty can challenge PokeShipping...

What I meant was: what other ships (involving Ash and Misty, exactly AquaMilotic) are interesting and would challenge Pokeshipping, but not beat it. I wasn't implying I like any other ships with Misty and Ash more than Pokeshipping, but that extra bit of competition is exciting! Like the episode Misty Meets Her Match OMG probably one of my favourites. Good to see Misty get the attention she deserves!
Funnily enough, I take other shippings involving Misty better than I can Ash's. For example egoshipping and orangeshipping, I find them interesting, but advanceshipping and pearlshipping annoy the hell out of me (and that one with iris).

But I'll always be a pokeshipper simply because I'm a 90's kid; I grew up with Ash, Misty and Brock, and the signs and hints dropped throughout Misty's duration made it obvious. I do like the character May, but I think Ash only took her under his wing, and then there's Drew!

I could seriously go on about this forever.

I definitely understood what you mean, but I don't think Misty had any feelings for Rudy, I don't think that was serious competition: Rudy and Ash loving Misty, and Misty loving Ash and not Rudy. I don't think Misty even considered staying with Rudy.

Hints against DanceShipping (Rudy x Misty) from Misty's side:
- Rudy started flirting with Misty and gave huge compliments, and a bunch of flowers, of course she felt flattered. But being flattered doesn’t equal being attracted to someone.
- When Rudy tried to dance with her when he just met her, she didn’t enjoy it, she mostly seemed surprised. She didn’t look attracted to him at all.
- During the target test of Ash, Misty didn’t seem lovestruck, she just enjoyed the flattery, that’s not the same as love.
- Misty’s smile at the end of the target test had nothing to do with Rudy, she smiled because Ash succeeded.
- Misty only accepted that dinner with Rudy after his sister begged when she said “I don’t know...”, that had nothing to do with Rudy, and it’s just a dinner, not really a date.
- Before Rudy offered Misty to stay, his sister suggested Misty to stay at Trovita Island forever while eating, Misty didn’t answer and seemed uncomfortable, then Rudy said “let’s talk about something else.”
- Misty only danced with Rudy because Rudy’s Pokemon danced, Rudy kept asking Misty. If she’d really like Rudy, she’d immediately dance with him.
- When Rudy offered Misty to stay, while dancing, his sister was there, in the same room. Misty clearly didn’t want to offend his sister. When Rudy asked her to stay, she didn’t immediately reject his offer. Some people see that as a sign that she seriously considered it, but nothing disproves that she already knew she didn’t want it, and just didn’t outright say it, in fear of offending Rudy’s sister. She seemed very uncomfortable when Rudy asked it, implying that she knew that she didn’t want to stay with him.
- During the battle, Misty was happy every time Ash did something good, and seemed disappointed every time Rudy did something good. Some people say she was torn between Ash and Rudy, but there were no actual solid hints to back that up. If she’d prefer Rudy, or if she’d be torn and not knowing whether Ash or Rudy meant more to her, she wouldn’t show such a clear preference for Ash.
- When Rudy’s Electabuzz defeated Ash’s Pikachu, she obviously looked sad. But when Rudy’s sister asked Misty whether his brother was a good Pokemon trainer or not, Misty said he is, but that was probably an attempt to not offend her, she seemed sad about it that Rudy’s Electabuzz defeated Ash’s Pikachu.
- When Ash’s Bulbasaur defeated Rudy’s Exeggutor, Misty showed a big smile.
- When Rudy chose Starmie and said he’d defeat Ash’s Squirtle, said he wanted to commemorate his win to Misty. Misty looked really uncomfortable with this, and Rudy’s sister’s “I immediately noticed my brother fell for you” also made Misty uncomfortable, she seemed afraid to hurt Rudy’s sister.
- When Starmie hit Squirtle with Thunderbolt, Misty looked very sad, and eventually snapped at Ash that “Ash, what are you gonna do? Are you gonna stand there, letting him win? Come on, you’re the only one who can get Squirtle to show his true power!” Then, Ash replied with “I know, I’m not stupid!”, Misty shouted “Then don’t keep standing there and do something! You already defeated Rudy once and you’re gonna do it again!” Some people think Misty made her decision at that moment, but it’s more likely that she made her decision to stay with Ash earlier: that fits the signs she Misty showed earlier during the battle, her signs of being happy when Ash did something good, and sad when Rudy did something good. Rudy’s sister was shocked by this, realizing that Misty doesn’t want to stay with Rudy. If Misty would really love Rudy, she’d stay with him and cheer for him instead.
- When Ash won, Misty smiled.
- Misty was happy when seeing Ash cheer and go crazy from happiness about his new Badge.

Also, if Misty would seriously consider dumping Ash for a guy she only knew for one day and was seriously torn between them, having a lot of trouble choosing, that's not very PokeShippy, isn't it? And besides, that would mean that if she'd know Rudy for a bit longer and like him a little bit more, that she'd dump Ash for him, and would love Rudy more than Ash. If she truly loves Ash, she chooses him with ease without a doubt.

I can see why you'd like it if Misty loves Rudy but still chooses Ash: you think "she loves Ash so much that she turns down Rudy who she loves", but I think Misty doesn't feel any attraction Rudy and that she never considered his offer at all.

Well, not getting much rates is normal, you won't get a lot of reviews on this forum. And besides, on this forum, PokeShipping is unpopular compared to its rival shippings, especially in terms of fics: people here are usually more interested in writing and reading AdvanceShipping and PearlShipping fics. You might want to make a FanFiction.Net account, or ask some friends of yours to read your fic and rate it.

And lastly, as far as Misty goes, we already know for sure Misty loves Ash. It is so blatantly obvious, and was brought to the surface in Pokemon 2000, so there is definitely no wondering about her. On a side note, Ash seems like the type of nice, sincere guy that, if Misty ever went and actually told Ash how she felt, he would be super flattered just by that fact and admit he loves her too (obviously after he hits puberty because if she told him before hit puberty, he probably would think she means just as "friends" and respond with something like, "I like you too! You're cool! We've had all kinds of fun adventures together!"), especially since she's his best friend. He seems like an easy-going, appreciative guy that would be willing to give anything a shot, if that makes sense.

I'm a guy (and I'm sure I'm not the only one here) and I don't see any other shipping with Ash and/or Misty as interesting, and if I'd have to choose between another Ash shipping becoming canon or another Misty shipping, then I'd say another Ash shipping, so Misty's crush is still there and so she doesn't dump Ash for some other guy.

And indeed, I agree, Misty doesn't feel any attraction to Rudy, she doesn't even see him as slightly hot/attractive, and just didn't want to hurt his sister, Misty never even considered staying there. Well, yes, "everything" would be something I can say, but I'll answer with the thing I always call "the beauty of PokeShipping": no matter how often Ash and Misty argue, they love each other so much that they forgive each other with ease. I'm sure they'll never divorce/break up when they're a couple. Sure, they'll probably argue sometimes (but not as often as in the anime, they'll be more mature when they get older, and Misty would get rid of a lot of stress and pain if she'd confess her feelings to Ash, those things will mean they'll argue less often), but they'll forgive each other with ease. Their love is stronger than their flaws.

It's my favorite mostly because I think they really care for each other the most out of any human character. I also like how they constantly tease each other, it is so cute; that's usually how kids show they care. Misty also was Ash's first best human friend, and the first girl he met. She also taught him a lot, not only about Pokemon, but about himself. Nothing says love like that.

I made a list of reasons why I don't think Misty is attracted to Danny at all, and why it's certainly not canon.

Hints against IceRaceShipping (Danny x Misty) from Misty’s side:
- Some people say Misty was flirting with Danny all the time. However, Misty never flirted with Danny, Danny was the one who was flirting with Misty. When not even knowing her, he approached her and said she has a beautiful name for a beautiful girl, and that nothing he has ever seen is as beautiful as Misty. Well, that seems flirty to me. And sure, Misty was flattered, but most girls who hear such a thing would be flattered, that doesn’t imply attraction from Misty’s side.
- Misty saying “I like the mature, intellectual type, I’d never fall for such a baby” is bullcrap, she just denies her feelings for Ash that way, she always does that when being accused of liking Ash. She also seemed a bit shocked when Danny said she likes Ash, which implies that she loves Ash and didn’t like it when Danny noticed that.
- Misty waving at Danny was just a response, Danny waved at Misty first, then she isn’t going to ignore him, that would be impolite. Ash never waved at either Misty or Tracey, he was more busy trying to climb the mountain without falling, so then he also shouldn’t expect them to wave at him.
- Misty offering Danny to share her blanket is a hint that can’t be solidly disproved, but because Misty didn’t show other valid hints to Danny, I don’t think that’s enough to say Misty has feelings for Danny. After all, Misty likes to tease Ash, this could be seen as teasing. She could’ve very well tried to get Ash jealous, to get him overly motivated to beat Danny, and/or to see if Ash would be jealous (and if he’d be jealous, it would be a sign that he has feelings for her).
- Some people say Misty wanted Danny to win and see that as a sign of a crush on Danny, but when making the ice sledge, Misty clearly wanted Ash to win, and tried to help him by saying Charizard would be a bad choice, and was worried when Charizard wasn’t cooperating. I think your answer is pretty good, and it's true. I mean, Misty and Ash obviously are so close that they are able to fight each other without hurting the other's feelings too much. And like you mentioned, they forgive each other and forget about it not even a minute later. And have you noticed that Ash never really gets mad at Misty, so to speak? I think Misty uses her getting mad as a cover up. Of course we know she has a temper, but her temper is made worse, like stated above, by the fact that she hoards her feelings and it takes a toll on her. She's frustrated because she just wants to be noticed. On another note, in this episode we see Ash get sort of jealous in his own way, considering he's a boy and obviously doesn't express much emotion towards girls yet, or just in general as a wanna be "tough guy". Ash always has to be the brave, courageous one, but he does get jealous, I notice.

The Danny episode was one of my favorites. Ash really gets annoyed by Danny at times when Misty flirts with him, and at the beginning, vice versa. Anyways, I don't think that Misty showing interest in Danny was canon. I just think she was really really flattered by his compliments. I mean, those were pretty good compliments, what girl wouldn't be super flattered when complimented by someone handsome like him? I think perhaps maybe she just went a littttle overboard with it haha. Maybe even on purpose because she was annoyed by Ash at the time. I think Danny was just complimenting her for the sake of being nice upon meeting a young girl.

Woops, I kinda started a heated discussion about Rudy....
Never meant to imply Misty was attracted to Rudy or anything like that, I just like that episode simply because it took Pokeshipping to a whole new level. Rudy's interest in Misty, presented us Pokeshippers with a chance to see Pokeshipping put to the test. While it would've been weird (Misty staying with Rudy because he her asked too and leaving Ash, who she has known for longer), we also thought for a second it was quite possible. Brock left in an earlier episode, who said Misty couldn't? But, she didn't, and that's why I, a keen Pokeshipper, loved this episode. It showed Misty's devotion to Ash, and even some jealously from Ash, and that line Rudy said 'she chooses him' kinda sums it all up.

I think your answer is pretty good, and it's true. I mean, Misty and Ash obviously are so close that they are able to fight each other without hurting the other's feelings too much. And like you mentioned, they forgive each other and forget about it not even a minute later. And have you noticed that Ash never really gets mad at Misty, so to speak? I think Misty uses her getting mad as a cover up. Of course we know she has a temper, but her temper is made worse, like stated above, by the fact that she hoards her feelings and it takes a toll on her. She's frustrated because she just wants to be noticed. On another note, in this episode we see Ash get sort of jealous in his own way, considering he's a boy and obviously doesn't express much emotion towards girls yet, or just in general as a wanna be "tough guy". Ash always has to be the brave, courageous one, but he does get jealous, I notice.

The Danny episode was one of my favorites. Ash really gets annoyed by Danny at times when Misty flirts with him, and at the beginning, vice versa. Anyways, I don't think that Misty showing interest in Danny was canon. I just think she was really really flattered by his compliments. I mean, those were pretty good compliments, what girl wouldn't be super flattered when complimented by someone handsome like him? I think perhaps maybe she just went a littttle overboard with it haha. Maybe even on purpose because she was annoyed by Ash at the time. I think Danny was just complimenting her for the sake of being nice upon meeting a young girl.

Yes, it's also possible that she tries to hide her feeilngs by acting like she's mad. However, I think she's mad because she has to fight her feelings in order to not let anyone know, causing her a lot of stress. Because of that, she'll get mad easily.

Woops, I kinda started a heated discussion about Rudy....
Never meant to imply Misty was attracted to Rudy or anything like that, I just like that episode simply because it took Pokeshipping to a whole new level. Rudy's interest in Misty, presented us Pokeshippers with a chance to see Pokeshipping put to the test. While it would've been weird (Misty staying with Rudy because he her asked too and leaving Ash, who she has known for longer), we also thought for a second it was quite possible. Brock left in an earlier episode, who said Misty couldn't? But, she didn't, and that's why I, a keen Pokeshipper, loved this episode. It showed Misty's devotion to Ash, and even some jealously from Ash, and that line Rudy said 'she chooses him' kinda sums it all up.

It's not that heated... And besides, you did say PokeShipping had serious competition from Rudy, so I thought that implies that you think Misty felt at least some attraction to Rudy, sorry... You seem to think she seriously considered staying there, which she'd only consider if she'd feel attracted to Rudy.

Also, maybe some people didn't think Misty leaving Ash for Rudy was possible, because of thinking the only reason why she didn't outright reject Rudy was not wanting to hurt his sister. Do you think that's possible and/or makes sense?

Be very careful, Danny!". Another example is when they are on the top of the mountain Misy runs up to him, and pushes Ash out of the way and says, "Hi, Danny! Wanna share my blanket?" That's definitely flirting in my book, especially the one about sharing the blanket.

I think Misty was annoyed with Ash being naive and clueless, so she took her chance and tried to milk the Danny thing while she could to get a rise out of him like she normally does, and make him jealous. Does that make sense?


On a side note, did anyone watch that play I found online? If not, you should totally watch it!! I don't want to give away the ending, but let's just say it's a Pokeshipper's dream come true!!

I won't believe it until I see proof, like screenshots. We've been screwed over by the writers so often, my belief and faith in the writers ever making Misty return is gone.

I don't know.. This sounds interesting to see Misty and Brock, though it's particularly hard to believe at frist XD. But if ever this happened and confirmed, this would be wonderful seeing the original trio again and of course to what Ash and Misty react to each other again.

I wish I was able to look at the full cast list. Every time I try to click the link, it is like messed up. Oh well, I am totally excited! It comes on March 14 or March 7 in the US? I reallly really really hope that Brock and Misty are more than just flashbacks, but I'll be grateful with any appearance of them, especially Misty!!! And you're right, at least it shows that Ash remembers Misty!!! Maybe this is a foreshadowing of the writers of some sort. Maybe one day, she will return...we can only hope and dream...
