XD I like that one too. I don't know what style you'd call it, but it's pretty simple. Not a lot in the way of effects, mostly I was just messing around with color layers set on Pin Light.

you know, you don't really need to put text in everything.

you cover up the negative space of the image which gives it a quiet quality and takes away the beauty of the image you're using; there's really no point in that.

you should only use text if it's cleverly placed.

i thnk that without all the unnecessary clutter and oversharpening, your graphics would look much nicer since you know how to use color layers unlike 90% of this forum.

the same thing with textures. your graphics tend to look too rough and really, it doesn't suit. i suggest you work more on emphasizing colours in your images by selective colouring primarily, rather than just colour layers.

speaking of colour layers, you're also using them wrong. i think, instead of replacing the blacks in an image with pink or whatever, just improve the colours and let them flourish on their own with the aid of a selective colouring layer.

also those borders have got to go. they don't flatter the image. focus more on glorifying your images. you're just making them look randomly placed there. particularly in the kuroshitsuji wallpaper. random colours. try using colours that go with yana's artwork, and not using brush spam. rely on the raw power of the program and your own skills.

Well, I'm not about to disagree or anything, and I will try to keep in mind some of what you've said. But the thing is: I absolutely view this as only a hobby. The minute it becomes work I don't want anything to do with it. That's one of the reasons I don't have a shop anymore.

I do this for myself; because it calms me down. I make things to my own tastes, which I'm perfectly willing to accept might be bad. If anyone likes them at all then that's just a bonus. It's not the important part.
