the game is just sad when your tyranitar got owned... reminds me of when pokemon wouldnt obey me in battle when they were traaded to me. gosh, that milotic must be speed EV trained too! but surely a maxed out speed lucario would beat a maxed out speed milotic!

I was so annoyed

I remember a trainer who had two weak pokémon and a Shuckle.
And this Shuckle killed Garchomp, Swampert and Articuno with Toxic.
In that order.

... Shuckle used Double Team, Shuckle used Sandstorm, Shuckle used Toxic...

Articuno fainted.

Yeah. Lucario's max speed at lvl 100 with a Beneficial nature is 306. Milotic's is 287.

My first Plamer battle took the longest time ever. I had Lucario, Infernape, and Dusknoir (wall). Lucario EVed in Sp. Attack, Infernape to Attack. Battle Start. Go Lucario; Go Rhyperodon (sp?). Lucario uses Aura Sphere. OHKO. Palmer sends out Dragonite. Lucario uses Dragon Pulse. Dragonite in red. Dragonite uses some attack (I forget now). Lucario loses about 1/2 damage. Lucario uses Dragon Pulse. KO. Milotic comes out. Lucario uses Aura Sphere. 1/3 damage. Milotic uses some move (again, I forget). Lucario faints. Send out Infernape. Uses Thunder Punch, 1/4 HP left and now Paralyzed. Hydro Pump kills infernape. Go Dusknoir (has pressure). Milotic uses Recover 2 turns. My Dusknoir knows Protect, Night Shade, EQ, and Pain Split. I'll let you imagine what the next 30 minutes looked like.
I won, but it took a long time.

Metagross used meteor mash against Dewgong. (I despise 1 hit-KO moves so I don't want to give it the chance)

Dewgong used sheer cold......but missed!

Turn 3:
Metagross used meteor mash against Dewgong.
Dewgong fainted!
Milotic used Hydro pump against Metagross
Critical hit!
Metagross fainted!
Kingdra was frozen solid!

I sent out Salamence
Foe sent out Blastoise

Turn 4:
Salamence flew up high.
Milotic used Ice beam against Salamence but missed!
Kingdra was frozen solid!
Blastoise used Ice beam against Kingdra.
Critical hit! (But Kingdra still lived on....although in a block of ice)

Turn 5:
Salamence used fly against Milotic............and did practically jack all!!!!
Milotic used Ice beam against Salamence.
Salamence fainted.
Kingdra was frozen solid!
Blastoise used Ice beam against Kingdra.
Critical hit!
Kingdra fainted.

I sent out Infernape

Turn 6:
Infernape used close combat against Milotic.........and still did practically jack all!!!! (My Infernape has 156 attack and close combat does 120damage + STAB and this Milotic was still quite some distance away from red....
Milotic used Hydro pump against Infernape.
Critical hit!
Infernape hung on using Focus sash.
Blastoise used Hydro pump against Infernape.
Infernape fainted.


GAME OVER..........

Random occuring things that would have changed the battle if they didn't occur:

1. If Kingdra was not frozen I would have had a 4th Pokemon to battle with, I think that itself could have done omething.

2. If my Metagross was not hit by a critical hit, he would have lived on for another turn and he would have started on the Milotic. (which would have took off the chunk off HP that it was left with meaning that my Infernape would have never suffered the Milotic's Hydro pump hit as his Close combat would have finished it off.)

3. If Kingdra were not hit by 2 critical hits he would have had 2 more turns for a chance to thaw out.



Strategical things that would have changed the battle:

1. If Kingdra was holding a Lum berry then it would have been cured.

2. If I brought in Infernape earlier and sacrifised his turn (and life) in using Fire punch against Kingdra I would have defrosted it.

I was tempted to throw the chair I was in at the large Flat screen TV in front of me. Oh how I wished I had my Banette and not Gradevoir, I so would of won, and get the BP I needed for Toxic.

I had a battle where a Hippowdon hit three consecutive Fissures fainting my team. Also to help matters, it was holding Quick Claw and got first attack twice. I know. I couldn't believe it either. I was on quite a roll too. What a shame. :-(

I had Ninjask get paralyzed by Ampharos while I used Swords Dance, simple enough. He then switched to Drapion, and used Double Team. The next 6 turns were the same, Double Team and Paralyzed. Finally got to pass out of there to Rhyperior, and surprisingly enough, after my Sub went up, only 2 Earthquakes and it hit.
I figured, "Next turn I'll go, hmm, alright, then next..." Took 6 tries.

I also had one where some dude's Dragonite crit'd twice to OHKO my first 2 pokes(who used Swords Dance and Calm Mind), then use Thunder and miss my Gyarados 3 straight times. I used DD 3 turns in a row and proceded to sweep him. Still, twas scary, I was in the 40 somethings.

I once had a battle where my Gyarados got hit by Guillotine from a Gliscor. Other than that, I've had pretty good luck in the battle tower.

A few of you have trouble with the Tower Tycoon's Milotic! Yes, it is effort trained in Speed, and it holds a Salac Berry to jack that stat up even further once its HP get's low enough. I've had issues with that Milotic too. Why didn't my Jolteon's Thunderbolt One-shot it? Just guess what came next. Hypnosis. Jolteon's on a snooze cruise. Vaporeon got me out of that jam.

But enough of that because I ended up winning that battle. I've had cheap battles as well. A lot of them. I hate One-Hit KO users, since they always seen to level one of my Pokemon. Walrein's Quick Claw activates! Uses Sheer Cold! My Jolteon takes the attack and faints. That's more than enough to put me in a rage.

I also love it when my 100% attacks miss two or three times in a row. (sarcasm) Yesterday, Houndoom's Flamethrower missed a Bellossom, and it hit my Houndoom with Attract! Houndoom then was immobilized by love for who knows how many turns...

That said, sometimes I have a good streak of luck in the Battle Tower. Other times, it turns bad. REALLY bad. I lead with Arcanine one time and the next moment I'm facing half a dozen Water-types. I know my opponents are random, but water after water? Give me a break!

I'm done ranting for now... Oh and one last thing. I hate Blissey too, so you're not alone Dragon Rules.

I haven't had any really ridiculous battles, but my friend was battling Palace Maven Spenser on Emerald, and this happened:

Player sent out Machamp
Crobat used Toxic, Crobat's attack missed
Machamp used Rock Slide, Crobat faints
Spenser sent out Slaking
Machamp used Cross Chop, critical hit, Slaking faints

And after that...

Spenser sent out Lapras
Lapras's Quick Claw activates three times in a row and OHKOs everyone with Horn Drill

(Btw, chance of that happening is 0.0027%, or about 1 in 37,000 chance - rarer than finding pokerus)

Heracross attacks first due to salac berry.
Heracross uses megahorn and it takes out my Garchomp...

Hmm. I remembered one time where palmer's milotic got a hit with hydro pump 5 times in a row. Other than that, my luck in BT is quite okay.

My most freaky battle:My Empoleon, the last pokemon, was against a togekiss, the second last pokemon on the trainer. It had: Double Team, Sub, Toxic and Airslash. It just Double teamed up, kept on using Air slash, and Empoleon nearly died. In the end it was this big STALL WAR!!> and.....Togekiss Struggled itself to death. Then, Guess what. The last Pokemon is...Elecivire, yes Electivire! I was like,What?!?! So I picked Surf, and Electivire used Thunder, and it hit, and I was in red. Then surf hit and he was in red too, and luckily that Empoleon had Aqua Jet, and I won. My Next opponent used..Dusclops. And it was a Double Team one. I went-- What.The.Arrgh. and turned off the DS.
