This is probably one of my favourite episodes of Pokemon ever. The use of the little doll girl was brilliant for Sabrina's psychic and mysterious character. Also, the battle was great and the dolls house part was just plain creepy. If this happened to every challenger, Sabrina would definitely be impossible to defeat. Best Gym Leader ever? o:

Shouldn't this thread be named "Abra And The Psychic Showdown"?
Anyway I think this is probably one of my favourite episodes in the whole Animé series. The way that they reveal Sabrina's character through the doll is amazing. And so is the way that she can telepathically communicate with her Pokémon in battle. The only thing I didn't like is the way that the episode makes Psychic trainers seem like the best. Sabrina seems impossible to beat, and to be honest, if you could communicate with your Pokémon like that, you probably would be impossible to beat!!
Cool episode, even though Psychic types were shown as unbeatable Übers. James as a Hawaii girl was awesome, just like all his other crossdressing moments. The dollhouse was a nice idea as well. I like this episode. 10/10.
A scary episode to introduce Sabrina, a psychic and mysterious character. The doll she had creeped me out as well as the doll house.

Although they wanted to show Abra's Teleporting only self, I wish it would've done a few other attacks and not just Teleporting like it does in the games in the wild. Sabrina and her doll still scare me like crazy after all these years for some reason...

It is indeed creepy.
Sabrina was probably the most toughest gym leader Ash had ever had to face -considering his inexperience around that time. That whole evil theme with the hopelessness of Ash in battle with some risks at stake made it even more better in general. This episode definitely was not the most epic battle out of the entire Kanto saga, but the things around it and the personality of Sabrina made it all around it probably the most interesting gym leader out of the entire Kanto series.
Eah there go the writers again with their antics, this time overpowering the psychic types. :/ Teleport is supposed to be used to end a battle. How's any opponent supposed to win? Gym leaders aren't supposed to be completely invincible in battle.
In all fairness in Gen 1 Psychic pokemon were absolute beasts so Ash having a hard time with Sabrina makes sense

Sabrina's a really tough Trainer. I kind want her to be like that in the games. And this is the first Gym battle where the Gym Leader's Pokemon evolved during the battle.

Psychic types were demigods in Gen 1, so it'd actually make sense for them to portray Sabrina as being near invincible.
